B&E Jewelers was the first place my fiancee and I looked for rings. The staff was very knowledgeable and educated us on the different diamond types, cut and clarity. They took the time to show us what they had in stock and were very friendly and professional. We did pick out a diamond and a setting that day. They held it for us until we made our final decision. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. In fact they understood that we wanted to look at other places before making that final commitment. After looking at a few more places and not getting as good service or pricing, we returned to B&E & purchased the ring. They made the experience of looking for the prefect ring so pleasant. more

Stop going to the chain stores. This is the best jeweler in town. I just took my wedding band into B&E to clean up and replace the center stone. My band had been created by another local jeweler and the crown of it always seemed to be tarnished. Shari removed this crown and replaced it. The ring is so beautiful now. B&E does superb work - they are the only jeweler I will use from now on! more

I am writing this post to say a big thank you to B&E Jeweler. Not only did I win the great Chamilia basket but when I went to pick up my prize that told me that the earrings I had bought had been incorrectly priced and handed me back $106. Now that is an honest jeweler, and one that I am proud to do business with. Thank you so much. more

Shopping for my wife's engagement ring, I went to the Center City stores, local jewelers, and finally, somewhat reluctantly (I thought the purple sign looked cheap), I visited B & E. After being in at least 10 different stores, and expecting the usual ""sales pitch/talk"", much to my amazement/delight, the person behind the counter didn't seem to care if I bought anything from him; he proceeded to make sure I knew everything there was to know about buying a diamond ring. He was genuinely more interested in my knowledge of diamonds than making a sale. I knew right then that I'd be purchasing the ring from B & E. That was in 2005. Since then, I've considered other stores for future purchases, but I always end up buying from B & E. I've had nothing but great experiences with them and they're a business you can trust (and I'm extremely skeptical). I've dealt with them enough to be completely confident that the negative reviews here are your typical jerk customers that will never be happy regardless of what's done for them. I always do extensive research before making significant purchases - I don't want buyer's remorse. It's so nice to have a store where I can always feel comfortable knowing I'm getting quality products at a great price AND knowing I'm getting what I pay for. Now, if I'm shopping for jewelry, I go straight to B & E; I won't even consider going anywhere else. I've done my due diligence on multiple occasions and always end up buying from B & E. Their knowledge, courtesy, and, above all, integrity, have won my repeat business. If anything changes, I'll update this ; ) more

At first things went well dealing with Mark. I purchased a lovely diamond ring that cost several thousand dollars for my future wife, after that your on your own !!! I went back to get my sweetheart another gift and delt with a couple of the girls,if your educated this will get ugly real fast. Cons: Beware more

I had been everywhere shopping for a watch for my husband. I finally went to B&E Jewelers and was amazed at both the professional and knowledgeable staff. I was instructed on every aspect of the mechanics of the watch and was also given a full history of the watch company. The watch was set, polished and wrapped!! It was a very pleasant experience and it was heartwarming to see that there are sales people who are totally informed on the product they are selling. Would recommend the store to anyone. more

I went to B&E Jewelers with the intentions of redesigning a wedding band using my original diamond. At my initial visit with Sherri the manager, we picked out and designed a wedding band. I was told at the initial consultation this process would take 4-6 weeks with a cost of $1200.00. On the ""8th week"" I was contacted by Sherri that my ring was completed but there was a problem. Sherri told me on the phone she had made a mistake and there would be an additional cost of $300.00. The original design was to have my diamond sit in the middle of the wedding band and any diamonds removed were to be put on the sides of the band. Sherri's mistake was she intentionally added more diamonds and for me to pick up the additional cost ( I did have a signed copy of the receipt for $1200.00 stating the details of the original design). During Sherri's first phone call when she told me about the mistake, my only option was to take the ring she created with the additional cost or she would refund me my $500 deposit. At no time did Sherri say she was going to absorb the cost of her mistake or that she was even sorry for the mistake. She kept stating she already absorbed labor and she could not absorb the cost of the extra diamonds she used. I was only given the option to remake the ring after I questioned the mistake. I was told the remake would be another 4-6 weeks. If Sherri stated once, she stated it many times to my husband and I, ""haven't you ever made a mistake"". This is a very poor business practice that a company can expect a customer to absorb their mistake. Back to my first point, ""Have you ever made a mistake?"" Yes, I have by going to B&E Jewelers. I was shopping for a pandora bracelet for my wife & had been to several stores - B&E has by far the largest selection of Pandora beads around. They seem to carry every item Pandora makes! I had a wonderful time picking out a bracelet for my wife - it is our first anniversary - & was even able to find a matching Pandora necklace & earring to go with the bracelet. The saleswoman was extremely helpful - she spent major time helping me make this gift extra special. This store goes out of its way to make you feel comfortable - I could not be more pleased! Our experience was wonderful. We were having my engagement ring reset for our 25th wedding anniversary. The salesman was helpful, informative, and patient. There were a large number of choices, which were all beautiful. Their diamonds are exquisite! I was told my ring would be ready in 10 days -- it was ready in 5!! My ring is gorgeous. There were no hidden charges and we felt their prices were comparable and reasonable. I'm hoping to add a wedding band to match.
