I was told Aztec Roofing was a great company, so after the hailstorm in 2004, I hired them to replace my roof. The sales team was great, but when the crew came out to do the job, the nails they used were too long, and they pierced through the underside of my eaves. It was after business hours when I saw it, so I left a message. I never received a return call, but the next day, the crew was back to hammer the nails back up through the wood. So, the wood in the soffit was thoroughly damaged. I called again to complain, and the owner came by to inspect my house. He said that the crew had to use nails that went all the way through the wood to hold the shingles down, and he acted like I was crazy to complain. He said that it was the exterior of my house, and not a fine piece of furniture. I kept complaining until they finally agreed to resolve the problems. Additionally, Aztec Roofing used three completely different styles of flashing for the drip edge, which had to be replaced just to make things look consistent. Overall, it took over 6 months to get the most obvious problems resolved.\r
Three years later, in 2007, the soffits have rust spots all over them where the nails were hammered too far through the wood. I contacted Aztec Roofing again to complain, and I was told that someone would contact me to address the problem. No one ever contacted me, and I have taken it upon myself to try to repair the problems on my own rather than have to put up with their abysmal customer service again.\r
Avoid Aztec Roofing at all costs.
