It made my house smell like smoke. After some reheating, the food was still terrible. I'll never go here again. Should have listened to all the bad reviews on Yelp. more

This is the 2nd time I've ordered shwarma plates from them and definitely the last. I was hoping the first time was just a bad day, but it proved to be the same this time around too. The shwarma was very dry with not much flavor. The hummus we ordered on the side and their tahini sauce also lacked flavor of any kind. The delivery drivers are always nice and service wise they're great. Unfortunately I can not vouch for their food. more

Salad was not fresh at all. Chicken was ok. Person who delivered seemed to have serious attitude issues. I couldn't find my tip change so I had no cash but a dollar in change. Anyway, that ungrateful jerk walked away and threw the change across the hall as he left. Well buddy, some people are thankful for as small as a penny. Very unprofessional and stupid. more

Awesome food, just make sure you get the right food for delivery! My husband was starving and halfway through his lamb roll when he realized it was falafel.... Good thing their falafel was good. :) I loved my vegetarian platter.... more

Incredible beer selection, good vibe 5/25/2011

It was the first time for me in Allston and my friends took me to this joint. Now, if your preferred drink/food combination is burger and beer you have come to the right place. The first thing I noticed was the incredible beer selection. Since I like to explore, it took me forever to make up my mind and select a beer. They almost have too many beers on tap. They also have a large selection of different snacks and entrees. But for me, the burger I had definitely hit the spot. more

Awesome burgers, awesome beer list 6/2/2010

I've been to Sunset a number of times. Their beer burger is amazing and won't disappoint anyone. My friends and I tried it at the same time and we were all impressed. Their beer on tap options are second-to-none. If you want a burger and a beer, go to Sunset. My only problem would be the restaurant itself. It's a bar-restaurant so don't expect ultra-nice or clean facilities. Pros: Beer burger is amazing, beer list is eye-popping Cons: Facilities are a little skeezy more

An Allston mecca and staple, Sunset Grill & Tap is truly a beer drinker's delight. The beer menu is positively overwhelming (a pamplet with several double-sided pages, all crammed together in six-point font). The servers, however, will give you suggestions if you let them know what you're eating and what your preferences are. But don’t let that dissuade you. This is a place to be adventurous. Your palate will thank you. There are even beer flights for those of you who just can’t seem to make up your mind. \r \r In terms of food, you can’t go wrong with their monstrous nachos or a burger. They steam the burgers in beer and offer all manner of ridiculous toppings and combinations. Again, get a little crazy – it’s well worth it. \r \r Service can be spotty (I’ve had amazing servers and downright stank servers) but its Allston so that is to be expected. Get here. Great for food, dates, hangouts, everything! 3/11/2010

Gotta love Sunset's! I'd been going to Cantina when I lived closer to BU campus, but now that I'm off-campus it made sense to frequent Grill & Tap now. The amount of beers they have is INCREDIBLE. Literally, anything you can think of, they have. They also have great specials on pints and larger, and towers! The food is hands-down delicious - the nachos are a staple, but don't try to take a full-size portion on by yourself...! The boneless buffalo wings are pretty good, as are the quesedillas and the salads. Burgers and onion rings here are the best hangover remedy! Expect to spend between $10 and $15, depending on what you eat/drink. more

Surprisingly good food 7/28/2008

I have been to Sunset a few times for drinks - always a good selection of beer as they are known for and a good crowd. I recently ordered food and was pleasantly surprised, for a bar, the food was good quality and prepared nicely. Would definitely recommend Sunset for both drinks and DINNER! more

Just a perfect local bar...(don't tell anyone) 11/15/2007

This bar is your perfect neighborhood bar but not in any ordinary kind of way...The combination of many good things comes together nicely every time...The beer list is extensive and international, the food is surprisingly high qualty and the bartenders truly know their stuff when it comes to beers and making good recommendations, even depending on your mood. You just feel comfortable when you walk in, there's a lively atmosphere with lots on the walls and tvs placed high and discretely showing the main game of the day without overkill...The bar has 2 nicely-spread-out levels so it's rarely hard to find a seat (except let's face it on a peak Sat. pm, then you just get a table!). You can go with 2 friends or 10, or even alone to chill after along day at work, and you'll always walk out happier, or at least, a little more relaxed to face the craziness of the world outside! more

BEER, BEER, BEER! 8/22/2007

Im originally from outside of Boston, but now go to college in Connecticut. I therefore feel its important to make the most of my trips to the city, and this usually includes a trip to Sunset. Everytime I've been there's space for me and some friends at the bar, the bartenders are friendly, the beer selection is AMAZING, and the food (although not exceptional) is well priced for Boston. The staff there is knowledgable and were great helpin me choose some microbrews that fit my tastes (personally a Lager guy). The Atmosphere there is really upbeat, and comfortable. I would say the only downsides are that they close fairly early and that parking is tough to come by on weekends. But the hike is worth it if you are looking for a place with good beer, good people, and a great atmosphere. Pros: Beer, prices, atmosphere Cons: close fairly early, parking more

They have great bar food and one of the best beer selections I have ever seen. The draft beers are well kept and they have a choice from all over the country and abroad. Nice friendly atmosphere from staff and customers alike. The barstaff has excellent knowledge of the beers to recommend, especially the guy with the goatee. Pros: Best beer selction anywhere and nice atmosphere Cons: Possibly lines at the door weekend nights more

Poor, slow and rude customer service 5/24/2007

Waited an hour and a a half to be seated, meals took 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen, a meal was spilt over one of the party, and no apology made. That meal took another 15 minutes to come out of the kitchen, waited 25 minutes for our bill, while our waitress started closing up. she was rude when we mentioned the bill again.
