I have always heard great thing about Ava's from frineds and co-workers. I had old frined coming to town so I wanted a great "girls-day-out" and that is exactly what we had at Ava's... go for it. more

Reminded me of a brothel. 6/14/2007

I went to Ava's a couple of years ago; I made appointments each time I went. The first time, the girl cut my hair really short (didn't consult me; it was pretty long when I walked in), but fortunately, I liked it (I'd had short hair before). The second and last time I went there, the woman who cut my hair went out for ice cream while my color was processing (thought that was rude?!). That was the last time I went there. Also, the atmosphere just reminds me of a brothel (notice the small rooms where you get waxing? I got my eyebrows waxed both times). Plus, whoever was running the place had on a headset and seemed to be rushing all around. It was weird. more

Lots of pampering, but make sure you allow for time! 9/16/2005

I want to say that I love Ava's day spa, I really do. They offer all kinds of services: massage, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and even facials. They staff is usually quite friendly and skilled. HOWEVER, for the money that you are charged (roughly $40 and up for a haircut) you would expect a totally professional enviornment. But you don't get that here. The spa is showing it's age, and it's becoming seedy looking. Also, they tend to get overbooked, so the pampering is often pretty rushed. They try hard, but it's just not top notch. more

Best all around day spa that has everything 8/20/2005

Ava’s offers everything a woman will ever need! They do spa treatments, nails, tanning, waxing, hair, they even sell clothes! My favorite thing is you can walk-in without an appointment, so on the rare occasion I have the money and the time, I can run to the shop without worrying about having to have an appointment. The best place for a special treat for yourself or someone special. more
