My daughter took me to Avantgard Spa for Mother's Day and I have to say I've been to several spa's over the years and found this to be one of the nicest. I had a wonderful massage and the staff was professional and helpful. There was no selling of furture visits just good information on self help to relieve stress etc. No its not a vacation and yes it is a day spa but it was the best Mother's Day gift I have ever received so far. I will return and recommend it highly. Mom more

Pleasant Spa -- nothing fabulous 12/31/2005

My sister-in-law gave me a gift certificate to Avantgard Day Spa and then her husband gave her one also, so we decided to go together. We both had massages with an aroma therapy treatment. I had requested a female massage therapist because when I try a new place I want to feel comfortable and not worry about modesty. When we arrived, there were not 2 female massage therapists on duty, so I wound up having a male instead. Normally this would not bother me -- but in this case I was a little annoyed becuase I had called ahead to make the request. Overall -- the atmosphere is fine, but not fabulous. more

what a bummer 8/2/2005

my husband got me a gift certificate to this spa for my birthday. I lost it. ok, so maybe, AGAIN, I should get the poor rating instead of the spa, but come on. in this day and age who doesn't keep things on a computer. and they wouldn't even let me bring in a receipt. so needless to say I can't really comment on whether they are a good spa or not, cause I never got my treatment. more
