Unless you are looking for cookie-cutter cut and color choose to skip Avalon Salon. I did not realize how boring, uncreative, and unartistic the staff at Avalon is until I looked...

I have been an Avalon customer for over 17 years! They are very customer friendly and always make me feel so comfortable. They go out of their way to accomodate my needs. Their stylists are constantly attending classes to have the most up to date techniques and styles. They are an all Aveda product salon which is the very best product for your hair. I never felt pushed to buy any of their products. When I lost my hair from chemo they were so supportive and encouraging. My husband is also a loyal Avalon customer. I love this salon and highly recommend this outstanding salon if you want great color and a great cut! more

I love Aveda products and have been to this place twice. I've walked out both times very happy with my cut and color. The price is reasonable, all aveda products, & no doubt, the stylists are experienced and know what they are doing! They aren't the friendliest/warmest people, however, and that is somewhat of a downer. They tend to have the "I'm better than you" complex a bit. Other than that, expect to have a great experience and satisfying results. more

I love Hannah 10/27/2011

and if she had done my whole color and style today I would be giving her 5 stars. The ONLY shampoo and conditioner made by AVEDA that will allow combing and styling of my hair is Smooth Infusion. The finish out person did not use the product even though I asked her to twice. She couldn't work with my hair because it was like straw. I got tired of having my hair pulled so I left with half wet hair. Your people need to listen better. I come every 3 weeks and I tip well and I am very happy with Hannah and Bethany. Do I need to bring my own supply of shampoo and conditioner? Surely not. more

Had to wait 10/27/2011

I got a great haircut and the experience was great except for one thing - a 30-minute wait. Maybe this is not so unusual at a salon, and the hairdresser was very apologetic for keeping me waiting. But the previous client was very annoying and I had to leave the area for a time as I waited. more

DIRTY!!! 10/6/2011

I should of realized how old these reviews were before I decided to go! This place hands down the dirtiest salon ever! Tabitha from the Salon Takeover would shut this place down. You expect to have a relaxing experience when you go to a salon - this was place was far from relaxing. The "relaxation" area is squeezed into hallways and the facial room was the size of my pantry!!! Doors didn't really close either. I think the owners just need to gut the place or just start over at a new location. Its dirty (never seen so much dust and grim in a salon) and blah (everything from the walls and floors are grey)!! Oh and can I say just the worst customer service. more
