I have just had a very bad experience with a FRAUDULENT car salesman! When we test drove our 2001 Volvo V70 XC, everything seemed fine, but after we bought it and took it for a real drive, the car got warmed up and started jerking and clunking violently as it shifted through the lower gears. We took it to two repair shops, one of which was a certified Volvo dealership, and both places confirmed that we would need to get a new transmission, costing us over $4,000. The man who sold the car to us, Hamid, told us that he had driven the car for a year and that "everything was great," but I know that he knows the transmission is bad because the Volvo dealership that inspected the car informed me that it had been taken in to get updated software installed for the transmission within the last six months. Hamid is an independent auto salesman who apparently has NO INGETRITY. Now we have to pay thousands of dollars to fix our car so that we do not end up selling it dishonestly to someone else! I called Hamid and told him all about the problem, and he completely denies everything. I offered him the option of buying back the car from us if he did not think it was a lemon. I also offered him the option of splitting the bill for the repair of the car. He was unwilling to work with us and hung the phone up on me! IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE TO PURCHASE A CAR FROM HAMID AT AUTO BEST! I know that he has a lot of postings listed on Cars dot com and I hope that he is not allowed to dishonestly take money from buyers as he did with my husband and me.
