I purchased my car from Ricart in August 2014. I wanted a navigation system installed and was advised by Ricart to use their preferred vendor, Auto Additions (6001 Westerville Rd, Westerville, OH 43081). The price was $2,000. In short, the staff at Auto Additions is friendly however, it is my opinion that they are not trustworthy and lack the technical knowledge needed to professionally install navigation systems. I WOULD NOT recommend Auto Additions to anyone. \r \r Let me begin by saying the stereo system in the vehicle I purchased from Ricart worked perfectly fine before the navigation system was installed. A week or so after purchasing the vehicle I brought my car into Auto Additions at 8:30am for the installation of the Navigation system. I was advised by Jamie it would take a half a day (the morning) to complete. The installation was not finished until 5:30pm that day. While driving home I noticed a distinct “crackling” noise coming from the dash and side speakers at the front of the vehicle. I called Auto Additions the following business day and made arrangements to bring my vehicle in. \r \r I was advised by Jamie w/Auto Additions that the “crackling” noise was due to a blown passenger door speaker. I was also advised that the driver door speaker was failing. I advised Jamie that I did not believe that was the issue since the “crackling’ noise was not coming from either of the speakers he identified as blown or failing. Jamie insisted the problem was due to the two front door speakers. I advised Ricart of the issue and Ricart and Auto Additions agreed to replace the front door speakers.\r \r I brought my car in on 11/10/14 to have the front door speakers replaced. I also mentioned to Jamie that my blue tooth did not seem to be working. I was able hear incoming callers however, the caller was unable to hear me. Jamie stated the technician would look into the issue for me. After a couple of hours, I was advised by Jamie that the two front door speakers were replaced however, he heard rattling from the rear speakers and would replace those as well. Once the work was done I was advised by Jamie that he found a “new” problem. He stated there is a “crackling” noise coming from the speakers in the dash and side panels at the front of the car. Remember, this is exactly the issue I brought to their attention to begin with. Jamie proceeded to tell me the “crackling” noise was due to a malfunctioning factory amplifier. Immediately I am asking myself why did Auto Additions replace 4 speakers that were not damaged? Why was Auto Additions unable to properly diagnose the problem? I then asked Jamie if he determined what the issue was with my blue tooth. He advised me that a setting within the navigation system was turned down too low so the caller was unable to hear me. \r \r Upon leaving Auto Additions, not only was the “crackling” noise worse, I noticed a microphone in the top left corner of my windshield which did not exist prior. \r \r It is clear to me that the crackling noise is the result of improper installation of the navigation system. It is also clear that the installer forgot to install the microphone and that is why I was having issues using the blue tooth feature. I spoke with Ricart about these issues and was advised by Jeff Thorton (used car sales person) that Auto Additions has gone as far as they are willing to go and would not correct the problem. more

Great Products and Even Better Service!!! 3/28/2012

After purchasing a new car from a local dealer I was interested in getting a sunroof and leather installed (found out aftermarket is MUCH CHEAPER than factory installed options). My salesman directed me towards Auto Additions saying they do alot of their work. After talking with Jeff and explaining what I wanted as far as the leather is concerned, we came up with a great two tone interior for my car. Jeff told me they would need the car for about 3-4 days to complete the installation of both the leather and sunroof. I dropped off my car on a Tuesday morning and on Thursday I received a call saying my car was ready to be picked up. Wow that was fast! Everything turned out GREAT!!! I love the sunroof and the two tone leather they installed. Jeff and the entire staff were very helpfull in explaining what would be done, how they do it, and how much everything would cost. I would recommend Auto Additions to anyone no matter how big or small the job. A big Thank You to Auto Additions for a great experience. A+++ more

Explore other options. BAD SERVICE ALL AROUND. The customer service is terrible and their product knowledge is questionable. No one in the build would own up to anything. Finger pointing. If you decide to go with this company do you homework. Do not expect them to know anything. I recently had a moon-roof installed and in addition to the moon-roof my car was delivered with dents in the roof. They didn't take ownership of the damage but offered to repair the dents. I left my car there an additional two days and they were unable to nail down a time for ""their guy"" to come in a repair the dents. They also sold me a grill that didn't fit my car and eventually had to refund my money after tearing my car apart trying to install a grill that didn't fit my car. Take picture of your automobile before you get the work done. If they request to keep your car longer ask to see it before making a decision. I lost 2 days of my time and money dealing with this company and I still have the dents in the roof of my car. I decided to just take care of it myself because I didn't want them to touch my car again. I gave one star because I haven't has any problems with the moon-roof. I have my fingers crossed more

Okay With Me 3/6/2012

I went to Auto Additions to have a moonroof installed on my brand new car. After reading the reviews I was skeptical but I'd already negotiated having the moonroof installed as part of the terms of my purchase with the dealership. Auto Additions was very fast and had my car done within 36 hours. They told me not to open the moonroof for 24 hours to allow it to seal better. When I did open it everything was perfect. On the highway I think that it is just a tiny bit louder than a factory installed moonroof, but nothing very noticeable. I always have music on so I really only noticed it when I turned the music off to specifically listen for it. I also noticed that pulling the cloth like portion closed (you know the part that makes it where you can't see out of the roof) you can't hear road noise at all. Overall I am very happy. I was a little concerned that I didn't have anything in writing regarding my lifetime warranty but I spoke to Adam and he said he'd put something in writing for me and also told me that the warranty card is in the back of the manual. I love that the roof closes automatically when I turn my car off too! Overall a great experience, as long as I don't have any leaks I would be willing to give them my business again. more

Useless Company 8/12/2011

Wouldn't allow these people to put air in my tires. Had a $1300 sunroof installed in new car. According to them, for that price you don't get trim for the inside or a wind deflector. Left 2 huge handprints of glue on black trim on top of car that I still haven't been able to get off. After working with the Car Dealer and taking it up to Auto Additions and sitting for an hour while they installed the trim and wind deflector, Still can't drive with sunroof open and windows up. Noise from buffeting will pop the ears out of your head. Won't let this company touch any of my cars ever again. more

Good People, Good Results 3/10/2011

I bought a Passport 9500ci online and the installation via InstallerNet. I was assigned to Auto Additions but became a bit pensive after reading the only two reviews prior to mine. Anyway, I proceeded and was thoroughly pleased with the personnel, the treatment they gave me, and the work done on the installation. Their attention to detail was excellent, as was their workmanship. It took slightly longer than expected but their point of view was they would rather do it right than cut corners doing it fast. There was never an issue about pricing as the InstallerNet package covered it entirely. I will not hesitate to use their services in the future. more

Be very leery of this company. I would highly suggest going somewhere else but if you adamant about going here - research your product before you buy it. I ordered a DVD Navigation that they wanted to charge me $1530 for. I found out what the model they wanted to put in there and it was $927 on Amazon. That's $603 for installation, so 40% of my cost was going right to labor. Then I cancelled the order and they charged me 25% stocking fee. I also inquired about a remote start. They wanted to sell me a one button start for $300. You can get the Viper 5901 for $285 on Amazon -- Auto Additions will charge you $190 to install it which I later found out after I had them do it. Very shady people who obviously have no customer satisfaction. Don't go thru Ricart mega mall either. They'll bend you over just as much. Just an FYI Pros: Zero Cons: Price of material and labor. Product doesn't work more
