Auto Trim Design

I had just taken my wife's ford explorer here through the dealer we just bought it from to get all seats leathered and the front two windows tinted. When we had talked with the sales man we told him what we wanted the leather to look like and the shade of the tint. We got the car back and LOVED how the leather looked. You could tell it was professionally done and I could not believe how amazing it looked. But about the tint.. I noticed right off the bat that the passenger winder had a 6 inch scratch in the tint and the drivers side had a couple of small scratches in the tint as well. Not only was that a problem but the shade was NOT what I had asked for. I had my sales man contact them and was told to call them to reschedule a day I could bring it back in to get fixed. I shouldn't have received the car this way in the first place but if I could get it fixed I would be ok with it. I called them to do so and was shocked by how their vision of ""customer service"" was. They first of all never said sorry about how my tint looked and said that they tinted it as dark as they could per WA law. I have had 4 other cars tinted darker and do understand that in wa state it is illegal. But why would you even tint my car if you knew that wasn't what I wanted? I would recommend this place for leather but would never ever recommend them to anyone who was looking to get their windows tinted. I am now trying to get a refund and to get them to take the tint off at their cost so I can take it somewhere that will actually do what I want. This auto trim design does not know customer service. more

I recently purchased a new SUV that came without the front windows tinted - pretty standard. I called up Auto Trim to get a quote for the application of this routine job. A red flag should have gone up when I got two different quotes from two different people. I booked anyhow for what should have been a pretty short 1 hour - 1 hour 1/2 job. I dropped my car off at my appointed time, 8:30am, upon Auto Trim's opening. Red flag number two should have been the fact that it took a minimum 8-9 minutes for someone to ask if I had been helped. I simply had two questions/concerns upon dropping of my car; 1)would the car be ready in 2 hours? 2)would the applied tint match the factory tint? Both were promised, however neither were delivered. I called back at 11:30am(3hrs) when I did not hear from them and they said it would be ready at 3pm. I told them that was not the time I was promised, and they said they would ""move some stuff around and have it ready in 1 - 1 and 1/2 hours."" (Keep in mind I had an 8:30am appointment - how nice of them to ""move some stuff around"" right). I arrived at Auto Trim 12:30pm - again no greeting. I waited until 1:15pm to ask the receptionist, who was busy playing on her personal phone, to check on the completion of my vehicle. I finally left at 1:30pm unhappy with the time and the inability of the applied tint to match the factory tint. After speaking with the manager Dave, he seemed uninterested in my concerns. I had a cool new sunroof installed today in my Ranger and I am thrilled! They did an excellent, professional job and the customer service was outstanding! Their staff was all very friendly and helpful and I am as happy as I can be- I would highly recommend them! more

I took my car to this store to install the back sensors. When I picked up my car, while driving away from their parking lot, I noticed one of the diagnostic lights on my dashboard was on. I called them on the road and they told me that the technician was gone for the day already. I then took my car back several again and the technician said he couldn't tell what was wrong and asked me to take it to the dealer. ""What do you mean you don't know what's wrong? No one else touched the car but you, and the diagnostic light was on?"" I asked him. They wouldn't do anything. Anyway I took the car to another repair shop and the electrician diagnosed that the break module was burned, this module was only one foot away from where Auto Trim tapped into the car to install the back sensor. The part and repair for the break module was $800 and Auto Trim refused to return my phone call or shared any repair costs, yet we all knew that they were the one who tapped into my car and broke the break module!!! more

I love this place, they are friendly and have a show room set up for comfort while your car is being worked on. My children were allowed to watch movies and the people working brought them snacks..they were straight to the point gave me what was promissed. My car had some custom work done..sun roof and some extras and im constently getting compliments on the work. When I arrived the owner went over my car to check for any scratches and damage to note it then they fixed some bad wiring done by another place so that it would be safe for my kids. I can see if your car was dirty it may be because one of their parking lots is very dusty but whats a car wash compaired to a sun roof that wont leak in this rainy state and a friendly comfortable inviorement. I recomend this place to any one who loves their car and wants the work to last. Will be going back for tint on my husbands car..also great work..no bubbles or funny film. \r I would never recommend this place. I had some work done in January of 2007. The vehicle looked great, but over the course 3 years I had to take it back due to inadequate installation. The very last time was about a month shy of the 3 year mark where the warranty was set to expire. They actually had me produce a original reciept in order for the vehicle to be repaired. Where they had never asked for it the prior 2 times the car was in for warranty work. I felt as if tho they were calling me a liar. I expressed my feeling's to the manager, he apoligized, but he stated there was nothing he could do without that reciept. After producing the reciept they finally started work on the car which they had in their possession for about a week while the warratany issue was resolved. When I finaly went to pick up the vehicle after repairs, it was visibly obvious that the repairs had not been done properly. So they had to keep it yet another day. The vehicle in the end was done correctly but I had to go jump thru hoop's and babysit in my opinion. They have absolutley no idea what customer service and I felt like they just wanted me to go away. more

I have an after-market sunroof in my car that kept leaking. After countless attempts of fixing it myself and taking it to shops for very expensive estimates, I made a call to Auto Trim. On the other line, Dave, an employee of Auto Trim, explained to me what had to be done to fix my car in a very cost-effective manner. This is the type of honesty you would expect a friend or family member to share with you, but he did if for a total stranger. Pros: Honesty more

I brought in a brand new vehicle to this shop to have some work done on it. I was very pleased at the job they did on the contracted work, but I was confused as to why my lights were left on, all my settings had been adjusted (for my sound system and lights) and why my car was dirty. That was the weirdest part because I had personally washed it right before I brought it there. These all seemed weird to me, like maybe someone had been using my vehicle for their own personal use, but I disregarded it because I couldn't prove anything. As I was driving home, I noticed huge scratches covering my whole windshield. This was very odd because it was definitely something you notice as you are driving the vehicle. I turned around and immediately drew their attention to the issue. Of course, they said it hadn't been done by them and it must have been there already... Well, that's a bunch of lies because these are scratches that even a blind man would notice! Regardless, this company refused to repair the windshield that they had damaged. \r \r I would never recommend this shop to anyone because there is no guarantee that they will not drive your car for their own personal use, or that they will give your car back in the pristine condition it was when you dropped it off.
