.This place is really close to my house so I went there a couple of times for a facial. Then one time the receptionist talked me into purchasing a laser hair removal package. You have to prepay for the laser hair removal series. Ever since they got that money from me i have gone in every four weeks for a treatment and I have had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I don't know if its because I allready paid and they are not getting more $ from me or what. Also, I was running really late one time and another time couldnt make my apt.,so called to reschedule and let them know, and they threatened me to take one of my allready paid services away. However, every time I have gone there they have been a minimum of 30 minutes late without even telling me, i have to walk up to the front and ask them when my service will be they dont even respond apologetic that they have not informed me that they are running an hour late and just tell me oh yeah we are slammed today. You would think that if they are running late or completely miss your appointment by an hour that they would give you a complimentary service but no they just look at me with a blank face and say yeah we are running late. I said I wish you would have called me or let me know this when I walked in 45 minutes ago because I rushed here and also have an appointment after this and they said nothing. It is the strangest customer facing behavior I have ever experienced. I am a sales executive and would never treat a client this way. Especially if they were sitting in my lobby waiting for a service. the least they could do is walk back and sincerely apologize for their delay and ask what they can do in order to compensate me for my inconvenience. I still cant believe that they threaten to take away services that I have allready paid for because I was running late and then don't even care that I booked an appointment with them that wasnt even available until over an hour later. Once my prepaid services are done I will never go there again because they do not truly care about the client. They are only concerned with over booking and getting the cash flow. I have been to Aura for a few treatments over the past year and am happy with everything. They filled a much needed void in the North beach area and I recommend them to all of my neighborhood friends. Their laser hair removal yields the best results of any of their competitors - I have a ton of friends that get laser and Aura's seem to be the strongest and gives the quickest longest lasting job. Also IPL is great, I've just started learning about this treatment and it really does make your skin look so much brighter and younger. If you're looking for a nice medspa look no further. I have visited Aura a few times and am always VERY happy with the results. They have a great staff, wonderful service, beautiful convenient location and offer a wide variety of laser treatments as well as injectables and facials. I've recommended to several friends to try them for either botox or hair removal and everyone loves the results. I highly recommend them for any type of laser treatment, they offer a ton ranging from hair removal, vein therapy, skin resurfacing you name it they have it and seem to have the highest quality of lasers out there so your results will be excellent! I recently moved to San Francisco from New York. Last week I visited Aura Skin Spa for Laser Hair Removal. This place earns five stars for several reasons. First is convenience. I work downtown in the financial district and Aura is only 5 minutes from the Embarcadero so I was able to have the procedure performed on my lunch hour. Two other exceptional aspects of Aura are its staff and its space. The nurse who performed my laser hair removal procedure was incredibly skilled, patient, knowledgeable, personal and professional. In the past when I've had these procedures performed I've always felt a little self conscious. But Aura's friendly and personable nurse made me feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed. The space is also stunning. Brand new construction with a high end spa feel to it. Now I haven't studied Feng Shui or other Zen design but I have a feeling Aura's interior adheres to these design elements because the interior made me feel calm and relaxed. Another important factor is Aura's equipment. I performed a lot of research prior to my decision to have laser hair removal starting last year and the data is clear that some lasers are more effective (and less painful) than others. Aura uses state-of-the-art technology. The right laser and nurse are key to getting your monies worth and Aura has both. Lastly, all these pieces come together to create outstanding customer service. Some people just know the magic to customer service (think flying First Class on Singapore or Virgin Airlines) and some people don't (think coach on United or Southwest).
