Penguins can fly! 8/20/2005

That was the phrase my daughter used to describe them underwater. She said they could fly in the water, just not in the air. I pretty much have to agree. Penguins, rays, sharks, jellies, and sea horses--and much much more. A never-ending sea of opportunities to be amazed (pun intended). Great gift shop, nice staff, cool tunnel and conviently located to other attractions! more

Kinda pricey for a family but worth an experience 8/19/2005

First visited this aquarium as a little kid, then came many years later to experience a great time just like before. There is alot to see at this attraction, especially since it's located nicely on the riverwalk in new orleans. A good tip: if you're planning on also going to the zoo or getting on a riverboat cruise, be sure to buy a packaged deal where you can save a ton of $. There many breeds on sea cretures here that will enlighten and teach the younger ones all about nature. more

Summer Fun in the air condition 7/28/2005

The aquarium is the best place to visit. It is a clean place and you see all kinds of sea creatures. I just recently visited and loved it. They have a touch tank where you can touch star fish (they won't sting). You see everything from Alligators to Penguins and Sharks there. My nieces & nephew were very excited to see all these creatures. I just wish they would have dolphins. Maybe someday. They also have a couple of places to eat in the aquarium and a place for some delicious ice cream. You can spend the day there and have a lot of fun learning even as an adult. After you are done, stop in the gift shop and get a souvenir. more
