We were in Grand Central at dinnertime and ventured into Cucina.
We ordered salad, a main course, a soda, and a glass of water. The soda came right away, followed by the main course--my ""rotisserie chicken"" (1 breast, no wing) looked more like sun-dried. Take II (1/2 chicken) was cold and fatty. We asked about our salads, which were then delivered: tasty, but way too much dressing. My husband was happy with his pasta, but he likes those pre-wrapped sandwiches from gas stations. . . . After we asked for our check, another server brought out our main courses--AGAIN! (Maybe the chicken was hot this time?)
Cucina's so poorly run that even with 10 tables free and preset, there was a constant backlog of people waiting to be seated. Maybe the food's okay for lunchtime takeout, but don't be fooled by the quaint-looking seating area: It's no restaurant!
Cons: overpriced, overrated, poorly run
