This is by far the worst dental office I have been in for a very long time. First off, I didn't want xrays, and instead of getting them from my previous office they insisted I get a full mouth x-ray. I was 3 months early and my dental insurance didn't cover it, so I am stuck with a bill for $90. During the check-up, the dental hygenist stuck the measuring device so far into my gums that I was in pain from three hours after leaving the office. They told me that I needed to have a deep cleaning on 4 of my teeth because the tool that they used to measure showed deep areas. This cleaning was to be $800 and my portion would be around $66. I spoke with two hygenists that I know, (one who was my previous hygenist). I was told that getting my gums checked shouldn't hurt and that if a hygenist pushes enough they can make the gap deeper than it really is. That is why I was in pain for three hours. They should only go until they feel resistance. Deep cleaning is for people who have paridontal disease. I have regular checkups and cleanings and have never had any issues with my teeth or gums. Now I am stuck with a $90 x-ray bill and will be looking for a new dentist. I cancelled my cleaning appointment and will never go back to Aspen, or recommend it to anyone else. I truly believe they do work they do not need to do, and that is where they make their money.
