This restaurant was one of the worst eating experiences I have had in a long time. My husband and I had been there a few years ago and had enjoyed it. This was quite different. We went for lunch and ordered the lunch specials. I had ginger chicken and sesame chicken. Both were almost inedible. While expecting sesame chicken to be slightly sweet, I did not expect liquid sugar. The ginger chicken tasted as if the cook accidentally dumped the whole container of ginger into the dish. My husband, who will eat pretty much anything, tried the food and said it was terrible. His Thai was a little better, but was mushy and way overcooked. The waitress was apologetic, but said there was nothing she could do.
When the cashier/manager asked how the meal was, I was honest and said almost inedible. She said I should have asked for samples and that was how the ginger chicken always is. A couple points here-how was I supposed to know I could ask for samples and does she really taste every plate of ginger chicken to make sure it is always that way?
She actually smirked when ringing me up and refusing to lower my bill for the awful food I didn't eat. She again told me next time to ask for a sample. Don't worry-there won't be a next time.
Pros: apologetic waitress
Cons: everything else
