Editorial review from Citysearch 9/3/2012

**warning**\r \r please DO NOT have your child circumcised by anyone having to do with this office. i had to have my sons redone by a urologist after being told the doctor that originally did it had done it WRONG! Even the assisting doctor during the circumcision made a comment that he had ""never seen a circumcision done that way before!"" Tracy and Maggie in the administration office didn't even care what I was going through. When I called asking for an explanation and a refund of the $500, all they would basically say was that I signed something, which I didn't, and that they couldn't comment on my situation. All they cared about was that they got their money for the procedure. I just wanted them to somehow make this horrible situation right, or at least show that they cared. I got nothing!!!! I really loved my doctor and that is why I haven't said her name at this point, but I know she just had a baby a few weeks ago, and I hope she see's this and can understand why I am so upset and frustrated and am making this public. I am soooo disappointed that my son had to have this redone, which included him being put to sleep, which was incredibly traumatic for me and him, especially since he did not come out of anesthesia well and had a laryngeal spasm and they had to force O2 into his lungs! This whole experience with center for womens health at everygreen has been so awful and I hope that if you use them you do your research on your doctor and this particular clinic and any procedures you might have their doctors do. They are all about the money. They showed me no compassion or respect at all and I will make sure my story gets out.\r \r I feel so guilty to my son that I didn't protect him like I should have. Please don't let this happen to you or anyone you know that is using a center for womens health at evergreen.\r \r NOT HAPPY AT ALL!\r more

Good clinic - not so sure about the politics 11/17/2011

Feel super lucky to live near Evergreen as it's such a family friendly and progressive birthing institution. Was initially super happy to have a midwives clinic for my upcoming birth. Now not excited that 3 of the 5 midwives are leaving because 'they are not productive enough' and were expected to take a cut in pay relative to this. Money grubbing healthcare pisses me off. Yes, midwives have a window of 15-30 mins with a patient instead of the ""productive"" 10 minutes, but that's why I picked this office!!!! I'm so glad Michelle and Shana stayed but am worried about my delivery now and will most likely not have the birth experience I planned for. I'm NOT impressed by the clinic's choice to cut pay based on a comparison with regular healthcare. Patients who go to midwives go for the reason that it's not a regular doctor. If it was only one midwife leaving I'd say it was the other way around, but it's more than half the staff, so that's a management problem if you ask me. Overall the clinic has been great otherwise. Too bad that Evergreen doesn't own the clinic. Please fix this!! more

Good Experience 6/8/2010

I've had a very different experience compared to most of the other people that have been reviewing on here and maybe it is because I’m from the east coast and used to very different doctor and hospital experiences. My doctor has been very nice and listens and answers all the questions I have (this is my first pregnancy so I have had a lot). I always get calls with test results and never have a long wait. They even call to remind me of appointments. Everything has been very well organized and I know what to expect from every appointment which is great to know ahead of time when I’ll have an ultrasound or have to be pricked with a needle. The ladies at the blood place do a great job too. I HATE needles and they are very fast and I never have a bruise here. I do agree with the one reviewer...Patti is awesome, she knows a lot and she does a lot. The reason I deduct a star was when I fell and had to call in and the dr. on duty was the guy dr. and I felt that he was kind of short, but I wouldn’t say that he was rude…just very to the point. Pros: Nice Staff, Fast and efficienet more

Horrible place for women 3/20/2010

I went there with a 2 inch ovarian cyst and they refused to treat me. They said they didn't believe a cyst could cause pain and acted like I was making it up. I've already had two cysts removed because of pain and I will never go back to see them. I left in tears and they didn't even care. I've had bad experience with three docs. The only person there I liked was a midwife and she has left to practice elsewhere. This clinic should be shut down. Pros: Office looks nice and it is in the hospital Cons: Rude docs without any compassion more

Less like a clinic, more like a butcher shop. 1/8/2009

I dont consider myself a bitter critic, am generally very easy to please. However, this clinic has pushed me to my limits. I have to say something, so women out there can be saved from the pain, and dont have to experience what I experienced. They value insurance card more than the person it covers. They have no problem carrying out unnessasry and (even harmful in the long run) procedures, if it meets their bottom line - money. Doctors are incompassionate and dis-connected. If you are pregnant, be wary of this clinic. You may end up visiting the clinic three times a week for ""just to be on the safe side"" procedures. I will not recommend this clinic to anyone who I wish well. Pros: Staff is humble. Cons: Doctors are not trustworthy. more

Worst Place Ever 12/31/2008

The doctors are horrible. They don't listen to their patients. They also never call with test results or follow ups. The nurses, midwives, and PA are great, but the doctors ruin the office. Don't ever go, especially if you are having a baby or another problem. Pros: Patti Showalter is the only one who know anything Cons: The doctors, especially Longston. more

Never Go 11/24/2008

Rude people. Insurance headache. Would NEVER recommend. They are more worried about their bottom line than the health of the baby. They are poor communicators and never warn ahead of time with changes. They have no problem turning people away. Should be criminal the way some are treated here. more

Love this clinic! 1/10/2006

Everyone I've met in the office has been warm, patient, and nurturing. They take time to answer my questions, and they aren't preachy or overly clinical. I tried a practice at Swedish because I live in Seattle, but there was no comparison. The Center for Women's Health at Evergreen is the place to go. more
