Worst

I've lived here for over a year. The apartments are okay, I unfortunately was placed into one that was older and it didn't have the nice hardwood floors like a friend of mine has....

rats, read all reviews, you have been warned 5/29/2013

If I could give these pos's a 0star I would. Im not hiding who I am ,I lived in 1717 and there was rats everywhere! So me and the wife decide to break our lease early and find a house ....we were told we had to pay a reletting fee and give a notice , cool right?wrong, a couple days later we were told on top of those fees we have to pay around 3000$ extra, and it had to be paid within 30 days or it would go on our credit and kill our chances to get a house ,and what do they do out of spite, tow my car to add a couple more fees to what we had to pay when asked why they said they didn't know who's car it was.....even though I talked to them about it and lived in 2 different apartments so I was no stranger to them . IF YOU WANT TO EVER HAVE GOOD CREDIT AND GET A HOUSE DONT MOVE HERE THEY WILL PUT YOU THRU HELL AND DOI EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO MAKE YOU HAVE TO STAY THERE. Not to include the weirdo that works in the office who moved across the hall who would open her door a couple inches and s more

Not as nice as it seems 3/1/2013

I've lived here for over a year. The apartments are okay, I unfortunately was placed into one that was older and it didn't have the nice hardwood floors like a friend of mine has. Things break down A LOT. The water gets cut off randomly and without notice a lot. Right now all the buildings are painted different colors and when I moved in they said they would be putting up a gate within a few months (it's been over a year and still no gate). The electricity gets cut off quite often and without warning.\r The staff is friendly to me BUT make sure you know that they only allow for Cashiers Checks from a bank or you can pay only but expect to pay an extra $20. ALWAYS look at your bill because they like to add new charges without telling you. They have a Water, Trash, Sewage, and Misc. fee that pops up and will coast about $50 a month with your rent. Several times I've gone to the office which is supposed to be open at 12:00 pm and no one was there....one day I waited till 12:45 pm and still more

No one was there....sorry. You'll get an apology from them quite often!\r The neighbors are okay. Most of mine have been pretty quiet except for the occasional loud music from time to time. Nothing I would complain about right now. The only good thing is the location really. I pay about $690 a month for a one bedroom and it's close to where I need it to be. To be honest I would NOT move here again! I would move into the apartment complex across the street which is A LOT nicer! more

The Arbors of Las Colins - convenient living 5/4/2009

I lived in a 1Bedroom/1Bath apartment at the Arbors of Las Colinas. You cannot beat the location of this complex! \r \r The property is a little older, however the staff keeps it looking new. The grounds are kept immaculate. I felt very safe; it is a gated complex and you have the option of activating an alarm in your own apartment. I hardly had problems with noise from neighbors as every one was respectful. \r \r I thought my monthly rent was extremely fair for what I had. The 1Bedroom/1Bath does not have adequate pantry/linen space so I had to get creative. For single living it suited me fine.\r \r It is conveniently located off of the George Bush Turnpike and MacArthur Blvd. Many stores and restaurants are in walking distance (if you don't mind crossing a busy road) or two minutes by car. more

The staff (Valerie, Maria, Audrey) ask you to keep calling them if there is a problem. Then when you do, you don't hear back. So you go in person and they interrupt you when you try to reiterate the problem. They won't let you finish what you were trying to tell them for the 2nd or 3rd time of how things not getting done when they told you they would. This causes you to have no other choice but to show your frustration, which just leads them to act as if you are being rude or unreasonable, when all the while if they would just pay attention THE FIRST TIME AROUND, all the hassles could be avoided. For example, if something needs to be repaired, you sign work order papers that supposedly give the resident the option to say ""Do not enter unless resident is home,"" but you will come home from work and see a work order left on the kitchen counter, so right there you know they don't know how to read or follow directions. Not only that the work was usually not even completed, with a note stating, ""Need to order part."" Two to three weeks will pass with nothing. They also really show an attitude when you go in to talk to them about it, and say, ""Yes you have to write it on paper saying DO NOT ENTER UNLESS RESIDENT IS HOME."" When you show them the paper stating that you did just that, they still act like YOU ARE BEING AN A-HOLE, but I don't like to do a mental inventory of what I have in my apartment, or if anything is missing each time I need something fixed. At least Garrett (the old manager) would act upon issues that needed 'fixing.' It's NOT MY IMAGINATION that the place is falling apart. Just read the other reviews. I know it's not pleasant hearing complaints like they do all day, but they really do bring it on themselves by not doing the job right the first time or ignoring customer issues that could be resolved. I really would not want their job, but on the same token, how can you act like when people are paying their rent on time and not causing problems' Oh then again, maybe I am being unreasonable. Maybe it's wrong to want to have a refigerator that refrigerates, or an air conditioner that circulates cool air, or a front door that isn't warped. What they do is piece the place together just enough to last a month or so before it falls apart, but by then you are moved in and thus the hassle starts. Don't waste your time here. If you are going to pay this much, may as well save $100-$150 and get the same treatment in the other run down parts of town located off the Beltline exit 5 minutes away. Don't bother talking to Audrey. She's a 'Queen' locked in her castle and has no time to talk to you. If you do get her on the phone, hang up and try touching your chin to your but, because you'll get the same result accomplished, NOTHING !! Moving is such a hassle, but the Arbors have proven to us, it's got to be done when the lease is up. Oh yeah, the '5 YEAR ONLY RESIDENT PARKING' is a stupid ------- concept. Basically it's saying that you can live in another part of the building, move to a different part of the building, and take over a commonly used parking spot from others just because you lived 'on site,' NOT NESSESSARILY in the SAME apartment building. We all have to pay our rent here, so preferrential parking is stupid, unless it's for handicapped residents. Way to go Arbors. Make one resident happy at the expense of 4 or 5 other residents. Instead of '5 YEAR RESIDENT PARKING ONLY,' try putting up a sign that says 'PICK UP YOUR DOG ----.'\r more
