What is all the hype with Aqua? They're just bunch of ignorant people. The bouncers need to learn how to have better excuses. They also think they're tough just because they're in their suits (which means nothing at all). Why have a club in the cities if you're only gonna cater to your own white people? more

I LOVE AQUA!!!\r ME AND MY FRIENDS GO THERE EVERY SUNDAY WE ALWAYS HAVE A BALL ! WE GET THERE LIKE 11:30 DON'T HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE CAUSE WE ARE KNOWN THERE... BUT IF YOU WANT TO AVOID THE LINES TRY AND GET THERE EARLY LIKE 9:30 - 10:00\r AQUA IS ALWAYS PACKED AND IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO MEET NEW PEOPLE...\r BEST MUSIC HANDS DOWN!!!!\r I KNOW THEY MAY HAVE SOME STAFF ISSUES BUT ONCE YOUR IN THERE YOU'LL NEVER WANNA LEAVE!!! Worst club I've ever been too. They need to learn how to do business and hire the right people. more

3 girlfriends of mine and myself headed out to Minneapolis for the long weekend and went to Aqua since we met one of the bouncers as we were looking for a good club to head to. We basically went there three nights in a row (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). \r On Sunday, they searched our purses and told us that sunglasses were not allowed in the club (in Winnipeg, we have no such rule, and we thought it odd, but gave the bouncer at the door our sunglasses to hold on to). Also, we has gotten in VIP on Friday and Saturday, and they had not searched our purses then. At the end of the night, one of us suggested to find the bouncer and see if we couldn't get our sunglasses back. Apparently, he (and everyone else at the door, including the girls at cash and the security guards) couldn't be bothered to look for them, after telling us that they put the glasses in the trash. Before heading out, we had checked out the Website's dress code, and nowhere did it say that sunglasses are not allowed. There was no sign at the door either telling the customers this.\r A pair of glasses, which we later discovered were not ours but similar to, was given to us. We then told them that maybe they should have a box to put the sunglasses in and then customers can come at the end of the night and grab them. We told them we were from Winnipeg, we had been there two nights before and simply had no clue. After being yelled at and told that our issue wasn't a priority, the bouncer went to get the police, whom we talked to. They were very nice and understood our issue. They told us that Aqua has had a lot of problems and to just not come back here again (and tell our friends and others about it). \r I'm not planning on going there again, but if you do, I would suggest leaving your sunglasses at the hotel to avoid any problem.... Brothers don't waste your time visiting this club .They limit the number of people of color that go in.The first time around I arrived there with a pair of decent jeans and a shirt and they said my pants were too long .A couple of Caucasian males walked in with jeans longer than mine but I said nothing and walked away .The next time around months later WE wore dress pants and dress shoes and nice shirts(what we wear to our office jobs ) and guess what ? The bouncer at the door said that THEY WOULD NOT let us in because our pants did not fit right .How else are dress pants supposed to fit ?We asked for a VIP table and they told us the tables were full. There is no reason to treat people this way that way . More so, I sincerely feel that people of color are being stereotyped and that people of color are being discriminated because we were dressed up better than half the people who went in .I calmly told the bouncer/door man that his actions were wrong and they should not behave this way . For how long shall we be divided ? Why should we continue to be discriminated? If you don't believe me please INVESTIGATE AND U will realize that what am saying is 100% true I stand for equal treatment of all people of all races and that is why am writing this review. I hope by sharing my experience and standing up , things will change for the better .We(people of color ) deserve to be treated equally by any business .Shame on you to the MANAGEMENT AND STAFF AT AQUA!! Let me just say I used to love this club and I went there many times...however one night I was there some bouncers grabbed my girl saying she was going to jail...for what? who really knows...I snapped at them saying the need to let go of my girl...the next thing I knew I woke up about 20 feet away from where I was standing..apparently a 300 lb bouncer threw my head into the cement.. I am 5'7"" weighing at 115 lbs....and female. The bouncer had no reason and on top of that the police whom I called said i was to go to jail and refused to take a police report on the incident. WOW!! Never again will I go back there...I had a concussion and a bruised spine...thanks to the bouncer at aqua. more

Booked a VIP table at Aqua on a Friday night along with 8 other friends. Have to start by saying, what a beautiful club. Met our VIP host at the door and was escorted directly to our table. We arrived around 11pm, very long line, but was escorted in very quickly. Had a table upstairs overlooking the dancefloor. Busy, but not overcrowded. Server was excellent, made us feel welcome and continually asked us what we needed. Security was present, but they did not feel intimidating. Great music, AWESOME light show, and partied with the MN Vikings that night. Definitely will be back; Minneapolis needed a club like this.!! Straight Las Vegas style without the headaches. Pros: Service, music, staff, atmosphere Cons: Line can be long, get VIP instead!! more

This was a nice atomosphere to be in, but terrible VIP service. I had reserve an VIP area for a birthday party, and ended being charged for everyone else's tab. The waitress never once asked for my approval for any of the charges. So I highly suggest not to open up a tab, and if you do you must make sure you know what is being charge and make sure you are on top of it AT ALL TIMES.. That will be my first and last time going there. more

This was the 2nd time going to Aqua. \r \r Arrived at 11:40 and waited in the front of the line for 45 mins until the line started moving. I was trying to get in before midnight for free admit. The line did NOT move at all until after 12. The staff sucked- unable to provide any answers as to why the 18 line was moving and the 21+ line stalled. I was so upset. Pros: good crowd, ok music Cons: poor staff and service. seemed like you had to know a freakin boucner to even get thru the door more

We recently spent two seperate nights at Aqua, The first night, one of our friends opened a tab. Well, the next day he noticed that there was $700 charge from them on his card. Of course, we didn't have $700 worth of drinks, but that's how much they charge you if you open a tab. Fortunatley, after about a week, they credited his account.\r \r Then, another night we did VIP at Aqua and when my friends went to close out the bar bill, they had significantly overcharged us, charged us for drinks we didn't order and added on a 30% gratuity without letting us know. Also, I checked my credit card this morning and they charged my card $600 for the night in addition to the money my friends paid. I'm still trying to get ahold of them to ensure that the charges on my card are returned. The bill was a huge mess - we are definitely not going there again...especially in VIP. This is a beautiful club, but the management really needs to train the servers in how to provide better customer service in the VIP area. I was here a couple weeks ago and woke up the next morning feeling completely taken advantage of. The problem is two-fold. 1) the server was terrible, our barback did most of the work while our waitress flirted with some athletes and did shots 2)They neglect to tell you there is a 20% tip already added to the tab (unless you count the very fine print at the bottom which you cannot even read in the dark club). I was brought a tab with a total, which I signed and added a 30% tip to...not realizing there was already a tip built in. I have been to many other clubs around the country that do this at well. In fact, Escape, right down the street, does this same thing with their tabs, however, the server says, ""There is already gratuity added to your tab, you can tip additional if you like."" The word around town is that the servers intentionally do not tell customers about the gratuity being included. These girls are making at least 40% on every tab. The bottom line is this is very unethical and unprofessional and pissing a lot of people off. I know that I will not be back, and I will be telling everyone I know about what a rip off this place is. more
