This shop, on a busy street, in the West Village, sells a lot of herbs, lotions and creams. It's run by an older woman who loves cats (her cats tend to sleep lazily in the store).
I usually frequent the store for lavendar; it's great for adding a little oomph to your dresser drawers or hanging in the closet. It's supposed to keep moths away so that's an added bonus.
The lavendar, and most of other herbs and free flowers (like dried rose petals), are sold by the pound and there are tiny satchels that one can use to place them in.
Although the prices have recently increased, buying lavendar here is still cheaper than elsewhere.
