This company should be shut down for good. They are the most unprofessional, unethical, unreliable bus company I've ever encountered with the most dishonest, barbaric, hostile employees in the transportation industry.
APEX frequently partakes in false advertisement, saying whatever it takes for you to pay and board their bus; however, they might not necessarily deliver. For instance, they promote their bus making a stop to Rockville, MD which is convenient to many Montgomery County residents, but instead, they drop you off in DC in an unsafe location. Their drivers do not speak English, Cantonese, nor Mandarin; which make it easy for them to "pretend" as if they're not schedule to drive to Rockville. When these drivers are confronted, they are quite hostile and belligerent. I felt completely unsafe, as if I was in an uncivilized country.
This is my second and last encounter with APEX. I had a horrible first experience. The air conditioning was broken when it was 90+ degrees outside. It boggles my mind why they would even allow these broken buses to run while advertising comfortable rides. They pack clients in like sardines and refuse to depart until the bus is filled to maximize their profits while compromising the consumers needs. Nonetheless, I decided to give them a second chance for convenience purposes and they failed miserably.
I highly recommend not supporting such a selfish business that doesn't put its clients first. If traveling to NYC, I'd advise you to ride with Bolt Bus. They have free wi-fi, extra leg room, leather seats, drivers who are able to communicate, and (I know it's a standard requirement) these buses actually travel their specified routes unlike APEX.
Readers beware and do yourself a favor by avoiding APEX at all cost, regardless if Rockville, MD is a convenient pick-up/drop-off location.
