This week only, Aoki Japanese Restaurant on Broadway is taking 10% off everything on the menu in honor of their 20th anniversary. It was already a pretty good deal, especially for the full dinner sets. It is already Wednesday, get there this week! more

Great Kara'age (fried chicken) 8/16/2005

The best place in Seattle for Japanese style fried chicken. Its not like American chicken - this is chicken in bite size portions called Kara'age, pronounced with a hard consonant on the g as in "gay". They chefs are Japanes, not Korean and the rest of the menu is good and authentic. Good place to brush up on your nihongo and eat chicken. Although the chef tells me Ichiro has never been in there - but that is not meant as a negative endorsement. more
