Delicious Food 9/21/2010

This is a great Italian restaurant located close to our home that my wife and I like to frequent. They have many different great deals throughout the week. On Mondays you can order 10 entrees for $10. My wife and I love coming here on Mondays, of course there is no way we can eat all the food we get but it is a great way for us to have a little bit of each of our favorites. Their Gnocchi and Ravioli are a must. I also enjoy the Chicken Milanese and the Fettucine with Smoked Chicken. Their pizzas are pretty decent too, my favorites are the Margherita and the Sausage & Peppers. They also have a great wine list, you will not be disappointed with whatever you choose. more

Love it! 5/28/2009

I love this restaurant and have been here about 10 times since my first visit! Every time I go I get the chicken chopped salad and the white fish of the day. The fish is always cooked perfectly and i never have any complaints. The one time I ordered to go right when I walked in the door they were ready with my order. This is defiantly my favorite Italian restaurant! Pros: food, waitors Cons: waitors are a bit slow more

Waste of time and money!!!!!!! 9/9/2007

me and my wife were shopping and since we were feeling hungry we stopped at antico posto for dinner since it was located in the mall.we were seated promptly but then we had to wait nearly 15 mins at our table to even be recognized by any of the waiters, for appetizers we had the bruscetta and shrimp and let me tell ya i could have gotten better food at panera bread honestly.my wife was happy with the chicken she ordered and i hated my veal marsala, not good.we didn't even get dessert, just wanted to leave.don't bother people. Pros: Location Cons: everything else!!!! more

Excellent! 6/4/2006

The food here was fresh with lots of great flavor! Pasta dishes were hand-made from scratch and the desserts were decadent. Our waiter was very nice and informative and the tiny bar had a great bartender. more

Exceptional Italian Café & Wine Bar In Oak Brook

Owner Message
  • Its name means "The Old Spot," and like a fine old leather armchair, it feels familiar, soothing, the perfect place to relax. The food, too, seems familiar and friendly, but it?s freshly conceived from topnotch ingredients. Roman-style hand-pulled pizzas come in both white and red varieties with inventive or traditional toppings...airy gnocchi delicati (made with fluffy ricotta cheese) are a house specialty...and the tender pasta is made fresh, in house, every day.

More than 60 wines ? with choices by the glass, half glass, half bottle, and bottle ? are themselves worth a visit, especially during special wine events, which occur every week.

Snuggled in a corner of Oakbrook Center (with free indoor parking a few steps away), this old spot is the perfect hideaway to escape the stress of your busy world.
