Good pizza, but people who work to take orders over the phone aren't friendly. It took for me 20 min.to place my order. We live in this country over twenty years and I think my wife...

First of all, the girls at the front door have attitudes and are horrible at their job very immature and not interested in customer service friendliness or overall care for working. I looked in on the guys cooking the pizza. I saw them eating, no gloves (take a extra look at their hands and nails, appalling!!!) and watching some kind of video on their phones. Very gross and unprofessional. Where they Put the pizza in the oven was completely dirty and all I saw as for a cleaning method was a stick with a filthy black rag attached to the end and I physically watched them "clean " the oven with it. at this point we were a little scared to know what happens behind the scenes if this is what is allowed to happen in front of people as this kitchen is open for view. We were ready to walk out right then but my wife was really craving a salad she got from them through a work lunch one day. She is a lot more forgiving then I. As we sat down we waited what seemed like forever for a server by the name of Kara to finally show up chewing gum and not at all enthusiastic about being there. We got two craft beers at $6 a pop... Ridiculous.... My wife ordered the salad and I ordered the wings as they were actually cooked on a pan. The server brought our food and drinks within 7 minutes. I can't imagine how fresh it was. The place was not busy but not slow and not all of our order was meant to be cold but it all was including a dark hair I'm assuming belonged to our server as her hair was down, not up at all, not even a little bit. That was it we could not go forward with our meal. We aren't the kind of people to complain so we paid and left and swore we would never go back. The food may of been good if we Stayed to find out but too scary to know especially seeing how this place was being handled. Oh and the manager, you can find her at the bar. I'm not one to normally write reviews, but when it's extremely pleasing or extremely horrible I find the need. more

Pizza is just ok. Nothing special. I tried a calzone today with pepperoni. It want cooked all the way. Very few pepperonis in the whole calzone. It didn't have much flavor and I'd have to say it was the worst one I've ever tried. I will not be eating there again and will be happy to pay less money for better food someplace else! Don't waste your time! more

I've eaten here before (about a year ago) and it was pretty good. Today, I decided to have lunch and order a small pep and mushroom to go. Wouldn't you know, the bottom and the edges were horribly burned. It tasted...well, it didn't have a taste. It was smokey and chewy. I was not happy with it. Of course, I couldn't complain since I drove off with it. But I'll think twice about ordering here again. I like consistancy when I eat out. I don't want to be surprised with each meal. The least they could've done was remake the pizza- Im surprised they even decided to let one leave the restaurant like that. Wouldn't recommend it. more

Good pizza, but people who work to take orders over the phone aren't friendly. It took for me 20 min.to place my order. We live in this country over twenty years and I think my wife and I have enough language to order two pizzas. We just disappointed why people are without communication skills can work with people. more

Noisy and austere environment. Service weak. Food weak. I watched several guys from, looks like 'Guatemala, Italy' burn a pizza. Several times the pizza was not enjoyable. Value for the money, 2 out of 10! $5 bottled beer? Not once, have I or the group found it a good experience. Not going back unless I hear about drastic improvements in food, service and prices. They need to hire guys like the Italian guy who used to make the best pizzas at Greenwise. more

Terrible pizza. Pizza should NOT be cooked with coal. I don't understand how anyone would want gritty coal dust and soot on their food. more

Good pizza, but not the best, they have fast delivery and the prices are good more

If you have never tried pizza cooked over a wood fire, it is definitely worth a try. I decided to write a review of Anthony's to give a different perspective from most pizza reviews. If I were going to order a generic pepperoni pizza, I wouldn't get it there, because I would be missing 90% of the experience. Thier specialty pizzas are what keeps us coming back. The prices are average and the service is sometimes slow when they are busy, but you can tell they are working hard. more

Great place for coal fired pizza. We just happened to be at Anthony's on the opening day and have been coming back ever since. Menu is limited but we only come for the large, tomato and sweet pepper pizza. This is our favorite. Service is great and we are in and out fast. We come early so waiting in line is not an issue. Even if we had to wait, it would be worth it. One time there wasn't any table left but the one just inside the door on the left. Our server apologized and proceeded to bring us a free plate of appetizers! We will always remember that. more

First visit was just fine. Good balanced pizza. Pretty good service. Not expecting much for the price. Second visit convinced me not to bother returning. Our waiter must have just got out of training. He brought the wrong pizza as it was missing arugula. He returned with the same, cooled off pizza with arugula haphazardly dressed and thrown on the top. It was burned. Waiter didn't bother to serve us a slice but dumped it and ran. He kept rushing us by trying to clear while forks were still in our mouths. Didn't offer us the one dessert on the menu. Lots of other places in the area serve coal fired pizza so we're done with Anthony's. more

Ever since my first visit to Anthony's I have become a gigantic fan of this restaurant. Normally I wouldn't wait 20-30 minutes to eat at a pizza place but for some reason ever since my first visit I have been hooked. \r \r Once you get seated, you feel like your eating in a New York City pizza restaurant. It is always busy, loud and fun. Pizzas are flying out of the oven. When I say flying we received our 3 pies in about 5 or 6 minutes. Normally I would think that thats a fluke but it has happened the last 3 or 4 visits. No fluke I guess.....\r \r Admittedly the menu is a bit limited but I don't care since I'm only there for the pizza. Other than that, it would be nice to see an improved wine list. Most of the wines are mediocre at best. \r \r Service has been fantastic. It seems that everyone truely enjoys working there and thats a refreshing feeling to have as a consumer.\r \r NOW ON TO THE PIZZA!\r \r I usually take my family here for dinner on Friday nights. My wife and I really enjoy the Paul and Young Ron pie. It has meatballs, sausage, ricotta, and your choice of sweat or hot pepper. I highly suggest the hot peppers. BE CAREFUL :)\r \r Also, the kids cheese is great, its a 12 inch pizza. My 2 girls share the pie and its usually devoured by them with just a few pieces of the crust leftover for me. \r \r Overall, my family and I are very satisfied with the pizza at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. I would suggest this restaurant to just about anyone. more

To begin with, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza only has bottled beer. :(\r \r The pizza is lackluster with much to much sauce. We had the Eggplant Marino, and the leftovers drenched the takeout box. The menu claims that pizza features basil but it really only features a small sprig of basil tossed onto the middle as garnish. There wasn't much eggplant either, so it was mostly just marinara-covered bread with cheese. The Anthony's Italian Salad for two ($8.50) is large, but I was disappointed to learn gorgonzola cost $2 extra.\r \r The dining room is very noisy and crowded with tables placed right on top of each other. An assortment of TV's feature various sports games (think Duffy's Sports Grill).\r \r I can visualize this place as a quick lunch destination, but if you go for dinner, be prepared for a very relaxed atmosphere and a very limited menu:\r http://www.anthonyscoalfiredpizza.com/menu.html more

I thought the pizza was great! Very crowded but they do a good job of moving people through and the wait wasn't unreasonable. Because of the openness of the room and the seating, it's rather loud - but I'm fine with that in a good pizza place.\r \r We ordered two pizzas - one with Mozzarella, Tomato, & Fresh Basil and one with Meatballs, Sausage, Sweet Peppers & Ricotta. Delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and full of flavor, especially the sweet peppers. Some people consider it burned, but I enjoyed the char/crispy flavor in the crust. The two small pizzas were plenty for our table and we had a lot of leftover and the price wasn't bad - (around $35.)\r \r Saw some other people order the Chicken Wings and those looked great - will have to try those when we go back. more
