Ok meal with outrageous prices! 11/23/2010

We ate dinner there, which was actually SO SO and they would not accept their own gift certificate, saying that things were to slow to accept it. What does that mean????!!!!! We burned the certificate and will never go back. The service was good BUT management is REALLY bad. Thanksgiving day service has gone way down hill as well. I would try somewhere else. Like us. more

The place blows! 4/2/2010

We went there on our anniversary; we were so surprised to see how bad service was that evening, it use to be so much better! It has gone down hill! They also issue out gift certificates but it is a bait and switch, when you try to present it to them, they turn around and say (for any reason they can) that on that day they cannot accept it, sorry! They really blow, we won't even think about going back there! Especially now since they use canned vegetables! yuck! Cons: They have gone down hill! more

Classy place for a Rehearsal Dinner 1/12/2010

I recently went to Anthony's for a friend's rehearsal dinner and was blown away by how nice everything was. I had never been to Anthony's before and I was impressed by the Southern hospitality and the overall charm of the venue. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable and the ambiance was very sweet and romantic. more

Some of the worst service I have ever received 12/29/2009

My wife made a reservation for the two of us to have dinner at Anthony's for New Year's Eve on December 3, 2009 through opentable. We were informed on the 29th that our reservation had been canceled because they were closed for a private party. I called to talk the manager about the situation and see what could be done. I was informed that the party was scheduled over a year ago and that it was just a computer problem that happen sometimes. The person I was speaking with informed that all that they could do was offer me a reservation for the 30th. That is unacceptable. Cons: Staff member was very unhlpful and unfriendly more

Don't go there! 12/21/2009

To the point. We went there on Thanksgiving day, had a $50 gift certificate. Went to pay, including the certificate and they would not accept their very own gift certificate! What kind of restaurant won't take their own gift certificate, and it had NO restrictions on the certificate! Shame on Anthony's, we will never go back there! Southern homestead Atmosphere 1/31/2009

The atmosphere of old southern living, very cozy dining experience, only one thing missing, small portions of vegetables, SO not southern. The food was very good, just not enough for the money. The experience was great, very warm, cozy and good conversation about the old homestead. Service was nice, elegant decore. Being a native Atlanta, and very southern, discouraging that our southern tradition falls at the table with portions. Awesome Food and Service 3/27/2008

I went to this restaurant a few days ago and found it to not just be a place for good food, but a dining ""experience"". The service and food were great. The vegetables were fresh and I usually don't get fresh vegetables at restaurants. I just loved the steak and seafood entree. While I understand the previous reviewer has his opinion, I did not see it the same as he/she did. Not sure where they were coming from... I'd definately recommend this place to everyone. It's great food, great service and you will get a history lesson if you ask for the tour. This is old southern dining with charm and grace. Pros: Great food and service....take the tour! more

Second experience not the best 3/11/2007

I dined in December 2006 for the second time and was not impressed with the quality of service as I had been on my first visit. The food was excellent, but they were out of at least 3 wines & I was not chosing 'one of a kinds'. The service was extremely slow after a large party arrived on the main floor and I waited at least 30 minutes for the check. Nothing but the best 5/15/2004

If you want the taste and the hospitality of the old South, then this is the place for you. We were treated as if we were the only customers from the moment the curtious staff greeted us. The wine list was outstanding, the crabcakes to die for, the filet mignon like butter and the Gran Marnier souffle was simply the best thing we've ever tasted. To top it off, it was extremely romantic. The couple next to us got engaged. As for a tour of the wine cellars! Pros: Romantic, Impeccable service, Great wine list Cons: , but worth it! more

This restaurant has been around for a very long time and we usually recommend this restaurant to all the customers that we can not accomodate in our own establishment. It's is known for it's beauty as well as it's good food. more
