delicious burritos for a very good price. they are huge and stuffed full. the guys wrap them faster than you can order them. also, best coke ive ever tasted, honestly. Pros: a...

Worst

That's right. People laugh when I say it, but it's true. They have a salsa bar with 8 or so different funky sauces that you can put on your food. Also, Boca Grande on Mass Ave.

Decent 10/14/2006

This cute little place is great for a quick eat. It has some indoor seating and the place is clean looking. Their chips and salsa are ok, the salsa is a little spicy tasting, but the chips are excellent. It is kind of loud inside, but convenient for late night with all the bars near it. more

BLEH! 5/17/2006

OK.. the food is gross and it's quite dirty behind the serving line. Try another Anna's or Boca Grande. You'd be better off, trust me. more

OK tasting food 3/28/2006

If I compare Anna's to fastfood, I'm able to say it's pretty good, but if I'm going to compare it with mexican food in general, I'd say it's pretty bad. It's fast, it's filling, it's cheap, and the portions are decent, but it's no more than that. The food isn't very fresh and never very hot, but if I'm hungry and don't wanna spend a lot of cash, it's a great little place. more

Filling Meal at a a Great Price 3/19/2006

Delicious and filling meal for under $5? Not too many other options. It does seem that they burritos have gotten a little slimmer over the years, but they are still huge and filling. You can hover over the burrito maker and tell him exactly what you want (black beans? extra hot sauce? a little grilled onion? they'll pretty much do whatever you ask). The place gets very crowded, but at peak times when they've got both lines going, things move pretty quickly (though sometimes it's hard to find a seat). Across the street from Porter Square T stop, or risk the health of your car and park in the big parking lot (or try the smaller Galleria parking lot). more

Everybody Loves Anna's 3/17/2006

Who doesn't love Anna's Taquerias? Nobody! They are so good. The portions are enormous. Many times, I have ordered a burrito, finished half during the meal, wrapped up the other half and eaten it the next day for lunch (and been full after both meals!). They are just really hearty burritos - the chicken, beans and steak and cheese will really fill you up. They are great! I have only really been to the location in the Porter Square mall, at which I have had great experiences, but I know that I have heard great things about all the locations. Enjoy! more

Fast, Cheap, Out of Control Tasty Burritos 3/16/2006

For a fast, cheap meal, nothing beats Anna's. Hang back and read the board if it's your first time. The staff barks at you, "Cheese? Beans? Chicken?" and hover with waiting spoon for your answer. Be aware that your $3 rice and bean burrito will go over $4 if you add guacamole and salsa etc. But still, hard to lose here. Tightly rolled burritos, fresh ingredients, totally addictive. Spring for the secret boiled chicken (to the upper left as you look at the food trays) for a real treat. Vegetarians note, the rice is made with chicken broth, but many vegetarians "cheat" and eat it anyway. The place is low on atmosphere but Anna's gives you the perfect portable dinner. more

Great Burritos 3/16/2006

I would eat at Anna's every night if I could. I absolutely adore their Super Burritos with either chicken or steak and refried beans. I have no idea about the authenticity of their food, but I do know that it makes my stomach very happy. Anna's is really ideal as something to pick up on the way home. The restuarant itself is quite small and crowded and often times it smells of whatever is on the grill. I would also recommend that you know what you are going to order before you get near the counter. The staff tries to move you through the line as fast as possible and you have to speak up and be very clear about what you want and do not want before they start slapping your food together. more

be careful with prices 9/12/2005

This place is great if you want quick and fulfilling burritos and tacos. They are very tasty and fulfilling. The prices they list are without the extras like salsa and sourcream, etc. so the price that you may is often not the price that is listed on the board. The first fews times can be a little overwhelming because the staff makes you feel rushed to order and they are hard to understand. There is plenty of free parking behind the building it's in. more

Anna's - best burritos in Boston 8/4/2005

Title says it all. I moved from California several years ago and have been complaining about a lack of good Mexican food. Then I found Anna's. Cheap, fast, delicious. A quick cheap meal. I recommend the Super Burrito if you are in need of a meal. Includes, rice, beans (choice of black vs pinto), salsa, hot sauce, peppers, ... I could eat there every day of the week. Your choice of meat: chicken, steak, carnitas. more

Fast, good Mexican eats 7/15/2005

Anna's is located in the Porter Square shopping center. They offer meal sized burritos, tacos and other "fast" mexican food. If you've ever been to the Chipotle chain, it is a lot like that. I suggest the Mexican Plate, it is essentially a "build your own burrito" kit. It's a great place to have a filling, fast meal when shopping in the Porter Square area. more

good 7/15/2005

Last week my friend introduced me to Anna's Taqueria and it was okay. It sort of reminds me of Taco Bell since the prices are not so different. I recommend you going earlier if you want to eat in because we went at night to enjoy some mex food but ended up eating out at home. more

fantastic burritos 8/6/2004

Anna's, part of a small chain, is one of the places that we visit periodically. It is right in the Davis Square area and is pretty popular. There is usually a short line to order, but it goes very quickly. The burritos are the best, but the whole usual range of TexMex is available. There is a seating area within the restaurant, though it can get crowded, so getting your dinner to go may be a better option. The prices are on the cheaper side, though not as cheap as some really authentic places. I definitely recommended for a casual meal. more
