Great place 10/28/2005

I adopted two cats from the APL in 2003. They have been the sweetest, most loving little girls I've ever come across. The new director is doing wonderful things with the newly expanded facility. There are "cat colonies," where cats live in communal rooms with toys and perches and such instead of cages all the time. They've also started a foster program. I'm always happy to support this organization. more

If you're looking for a pet - come here 8/18/2005

With all of the pets that are 'thrown' away by people, there is no reason to buy any pet from anywhere else. If you go into this clean, well kept kennel, you'll find so many sad-eyed dogs, cats, etc, that you'll want to take each and everyone of them home with you. Please consider rescuing a pet from here before you'd buy one at a pet store. We have 2 dogs from the pound and they are fantastic. more
