Long but truthful! 2/6/2012

We brought our chinchilla in on the recommendation of another vet since Dr. Dazen was an expert in exotic animals. Dr. Dazen did not help us at first and I wish I knew the name of the vet who did. He was the kindest most helpful vet I have ever met. He left us his cell phone number and told us to call him if anything should happen but that he would be going out of town for a few days. Two days after the first appointment our chinchilla took a turn for the worse and so did our experience with this office. My fiancé called to tell the clinic that our chinchilla was worse; this time Dr. Dazen did answer the phone. Right off the back he was rude telling us he did not know anything about the case and the most we could do would be to bring the chinchilla in later that night for a feeding. We offered to call the vet we had originally worked with but were told that was useless since the man was not in town anyway. The original vet called us, on his own, a little while later. While on the phon more

I have been using this office for the last 15 yrs. I can honestly say they have gone above and beyond for my pets. They are a full service hospital including ultrasounds. \r The technicians are wonderful and i know my pets are well taken care of there. \r If you truly want the best care for your pets this is the place to go.\r I disagree with the other post...the front desk has ALWAYS been friendly and helpful in EVERY way to me...even when i am bothering them..which is often..lol. more

Great vets, sub-par front line staff 4/24/2010

Dr Dazen is a great vet - I have been taking my bird there for ages. He is very knowledgeable, and I am comforted that he is *Avian Board Certified* - there are only something like 85 board certified avian vets in the country, although there are a lot of vets that call themselves "avian vets". Dr. Dazen is a hard-core, scientific vet, but is also lovely when he handles your animals. Dr. Kupersmith, the other vet there, is also very good - kind, understanding and knowledgeable. \r \r My only complain is the front desk staff are all uniformly miserable. If they smiled their faces would crack. They always make me feel like I am bothering them, even when I just arrive for my appointment and sign in. They never greet you, never thank you, and just look like they are bored, tired and unhappy to be there. Joanne, the office manager, is the only exception to this. more

Wonderful Service 11/16/2009

They have wonderful home cats around the office even parrot around. The office is clean. It does not give any foul odors. They did on my ginea pigs. They did wonderful jobs on my ginea pigs and dogs for about ten years or so. They can do different kind of pets which I never saw any vets like that in my lifetime. They have abilities doing a variety of pets. They have high patience to communicate with me especially while I am deaf ( hearing impaired ). They got my animal getting well and back to normal. They are overqualified vets and they know what they are doing with my pets. It is expensive there. I am on tight budget, but they are excellent vets and staffs in the office. They sent me a sympathy card about my dog being passed away. My other vets did not show any hearts. Thanks for doing an extremely great jobs on my pets. Thanks very much. KSLynch Pros: Friendly Staffs with Positive Attitudes Cons: More Expensivie than Other Vets more

BEST VET IN TOWN 8/14/2008

Hey y'all, I just moved here from NC about 4 months ago and I have 2 cats, a dog, about 25 turtles and a bunny. I needed and exotic vet in the cherry hill area and I found the BEST one. ANIMAL & BIRD HEALTH CARE CENTER!!! There was something wrong with my dog, it didn't know what it was, but I called the vet office, explained what was going on, I spoke with Joanne and she fit me in right AWAY! I saw Dr. Kupersmith that day, he did some bloodwork on MISS MOOSE and the next day about 9am, I recieved a phone call that MISS MOOSE had LYME DISEASE! That was a shocker to me, nothing EVER was wrong with this dog, I'm VERY please with his service, he was down to the point and answered every question I had. He spoke with me for about an hour during my visit. Very nice. I didn't care how much money the visit was, the only thing I cared about was getting straight answers about my pet. \r \r The office is very clean and there are house cats there too. Whats nice about walking into a vet office is you see the receptionist playing with them, you can tell they really care about their job and the animals. It was really nice and thoughtful of the receptionist who came out to visit with MISS MOOSE, I believe her name was Meredith. She came over and rubbed her head and gave her belly rubs, kissed her on the head before we went into the exam and said the doctor will fix you up in no time. And guess what a month after medication and phones back and forth with the vet, she was right, MISS MOOSE is back to normal. We visit the staff once a week, just to say HI. MISS MOOSE loves EVERYONE there!\r \r I GIVE THIS VET HOSPITAL 5 ***** \r \r Pros: Friendly smiley faces more

DO NOT EVEN TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS PLACE 8/2/2008

This vet place is amateur hour on a good day. Right from the start I received conflicting information from the community college educated receptionist that did not even seem to care about animals in general, let alone ones that were in the office. I had tried to ask a few questions and she did not know one thing and actually, the one thing she answerewd was not even the correct answer. Then, I had been told that I was going to receive a call about my pets diagnosis and treatment the next day which was a Thursday. However I never heard back from them that day. I called again that evening and then again at the end of the day on Friday. I was told to call back between 9 and 12 on Saturday and then Saturday when I called that vet, I was then told there were no doctors in the office...Now mind you after I pushed the issue a few times, a doctor miraculously did get on the phone. Aftre a heated discussions, he started asking me where I went to medical school. Forget about his attitude towards me, what he diagnosed was so text book that I can cut and paste exactly what was said to me from a Google search I did that day.....It was the biggest waste of time. I would be sitting here still without them calling or lettring me know abvout the chronmic illness.... That waste of time and the false sense of security waiting for no calls is not what you want during this time. You also do not want when lugging pets around town justr because people did not do their job. Especiually sick animals. I have rescued a ton of pets in my life. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in 18 years with any odf my current pets.... more

Now, even though this guy thinks he is a real doctor in this society, what he diagnosed was so text book that I can cut and paste exactly what this so called doctor told me on the phone from a Google search I did that day. I am not one for wasting time...I figured to ease the pain a bit and since he is going down the line with his diagnosis anyway. I did not understand what the difficult issue was to prescribe what he would have done anyway in three days. .It was the biggest waste of time. You also do not want when lugging pets around town justr because people did not do their job. Especiually sick pets. THEY DO NOT CARE! I have rescued a ton of pets in my life. In California too where they treat animals awful, this was by far the worst experience Ihave ever had in 18 years with any odf my current pets. I went to a totally different vet on a sunday mind u, I already have the results and a sense of direction how to deal..Go To Cherry Hill Animal! Pros: I am not sure what the pros are with these people...I was not impressed by their work and lack of foolow through in that office.. Cons: Never Called even though pet had a chronic disease and lied about doctor not being in office. more
