Not sure what all the negative reviews are about but then again, i never encountered ""Vivian"" but, rather a very polite man who explained the best way to repair my shoes would be and the cost. He was knowledgable and friendly. My boots came back looking brand new as did my boyfriends 20 year old shoes! They do a fantastic job! more

I brought in my sandals for a resole job this afternoon, and when I went back to pick them up, I found out the scratches on the upper part of the shoes which were not there before dropping them off. I complained about that to the man working there, and he kept asking me where the scratches were as if they weren't there. After I pointed them literally 10 times, he brought the shoes to the back. After a minute, he came out with them, and I found out that the scratches were covered with something like a marker. I was totally annoyed, and complained about what happened to the shoes. And then, he started to insult me saying that I was complaining because I didn't want to pay. And then, he said I should go to different repair stores if I didn't like the service there. I told him that he should be responsible, but he ignored me and walked away. And, I tried to talk to this woman, Vivian, behind the counter who was the owner. She yelled at me saying I should talk to the guy. When I tried to talk to the guy, he didn't listen, and she was laughing at me. They haven't taken responsibility yet. I had never seen uneducated, no-mannered, rude people like them ever. If you want to experience THE WORST service ever, I DO recommend Angelo's. They WILL totally ruin your shoes and day. I've taken three pairs of boots to Angelo's to be taken in. The woman behind the counter refused to take my boots in the way that I wanted and instead lectured me on how the boots would be too tight. When I told her that she made my last pair of boots too lose, she became very angry and lost her temper in store. If this place weren't the best in town, I wouldn't go there anymore. When I called the store the next day to find out when my boots would be ready, she told me she decided NOT to fix them because she didn't like the fact that I criticized her. She told me my remarks kept her up all night and suggested I come in and have the boots re-fitted. She took my deposit, but had no intention of fixing my boots!!! She yelled at me on the phone today and told me to come pick up my boots---that she doesn't want to fix them. She is awfully rude and I am never going there again. more

vivian is the woman behind the counter and by all accounts she and her husband own angelo's. she is pushy, rude and short tempered. she does not feel that she needs to provide any sort of customer service whatsoever; she TELLS you what you need done to your shoes, not what you want done to your shoes. recently i brought a pair of boots into angelo's and asked to have them polished, she ignored my request and told me i have to have the soles and heels replaced. i told her i'm not ready to have them replace, may be after i wear them a couple more times. she ignored me and said that i have to repair the soles and heels. I have been to Angelo's twice to have them do work on the same pair of shoes. Both times the work had to be redone. Every time I have been there, the woman behind the counter is rude and lectures me. I am polite, and ask specifically for what I need/want to be done to my shoes. These are very expensive shoes, which is why I continue to get them repaired, and I would be happy to pay well for it to be done correctly. I brought in a barely-used beautiful taupe color suede tote bag to have a few surface dirt marks removed. The woman who took my bag assured me that they were experts in suede cleaning and would be able to clean the bag properly. Obviously, they did not know what they were doing, because when I went to pick it up, the suede had been covered with a leather cleaner, completely changing the handfeel and drape of the suede bag. As of today, they have not taken any responsibility for ruining a $400 handbag. A reputable business takes responsibility for work that is not finished to a customer's satisfaction. I do not think that Angelo's is reputable and do not recommend their services. While the lady who works there is a little short-tempered, this place overall is great. I took a boot there that 5 - count em 5! - other shoe places were unable to fix. The company that I bought the boot from was unable to fix this shoe, as well, because the zipper had broken in a weird way and the boot itself would have to literally be undone first to get fixed. Anyway, these guys fixed it and I was about to throw them out after wearing them only a few times. It would've been like throwing away 300 dollars. I love Angelo's. more

the work they do is pretty good. i brought snakeskin shoes for a new sole. the shoes were new and smooth, but they were returned with the scales shuffled up and uneven. when i brought this to the attention of the woman at the desk, she yelled at me and was extremely defensive. very poor communication skills and worse service. their prices are not cheap either.
