Terrible service 12/23/2009

We have gone to Angelo's for years and have always been pleased with the food and the service, (though it does seem to be a little overpriced). Regardless, when someone wanted some good "American" Italian food, and though a little kitschy, Angelo's was the place to go. I've always appreciated the family atmosphere and that it is a family run, and served, restaurant. However, we will not return. Four of us joined five other friends for a holiday dinner celebration yesterday evening and all seemed to be going well, until the food arrived. The very frazzled server brought out 8 dinners. As there were 9 of us we waited for the final plate of food but it didn't show up. We finally got the attention of the (very frazzled) server and she said it was coming. So everyone began eating rather than let their dishes get cold. I, however, sitting next to my foodless friend, opted to wait until his dish arrived. When our other 7 friends were half-way through their meals I got up to speak perso more

Terrible service 11/15/2009

The service at Angelo's is never good, but tonight was a new low. On the plus side, the Seafood Canneloni seldom disappoints, and we like the mozzarella and tomato antipasto. But you have to be desperate for something close to home in Burien to put up with the poor customer service. We arrived at a little before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday (we hadn't eaten lunch and were hungry) with our well-behaved 3-year-old girl. The hostess told a helper (I'm guessing he buses the tables) where to seat us and walked away. While he was getting the menus, a trim, white-haired man in a chef's jacket came and told him to seat us at "table 19." (Strange -- why would a chef leave the kitchen to direct dining room traffic?) We were led to a section with 12 tables, all empty and waiting except for a large party celebrating a birthday, seated at three 4-tops pushed together . Table 19 turned out to be right next to them - literally less than 12 inches from their chair backs. I asked why, with the rest o more

Good family restaurant 6/29/2008

Angelo's is a good family-style Italian restaurant. Good atmosphere with hearty food at a decent price. Good wine--always important with Italian food--is available in a medium-price range. more

Angelo's 6/22/2008

My husband and I checked out this Italian place in Burien. The food was great but the atmosphere is a little dark for my taste. Fine service, fine menu, fine wine. Everything was okay but it hasn't seemed to draw us back. more

It is really a treat to visit Angelo's for dinner. Their food selections are wonderful and reasonably priced. If you like Italian food, this is a must. Their steaks are really good. For good tasting Italian food, this was a wonderful place to eat.. It is a little pricey, but the food and service has been wonderful. The food was very flavorful, hot and served by pleasant waiters. The drinks are reasonable priced as well. I would recommend this establishment for special dining, comfortable atmosphere and pleasant staff. more

Its not Italian Taste 11/3/2007

Im Italian , I went to eat at this restaurant thinking was Italian but here as in many restaurants in america of Italian nothing. The pizza, tomato and cheese are American taste. Then I tried the chicken cacciatora but in Italy we dont cook the chicken like this one, there was a chicken fried with over a bad tomato sauce. The pasta its too cook they dont know maybe that we like the pasta al dente. If you want to eat Italian take a frozen pizza its much more good .. Cons: Not Italian but American Taste more

Great food and service 10/25/2006

I went here for the first time last week and I wasn't sure what to expect. I asked our hostess about vegetarian options and she was very helpful, she even hunted down a chef to see if they had cheese-filled ravoli available for me. The food was delicious, and the tiramisu was devine! I would reccomend this place to anyone and everyone. Pros: Service, food, dessert more

Ribeyes 6/6/2005

The best kept secret in the SouthEnd. The steak of choice on the main menu is ribeye! Very tender, no matter how they cook it. They have a special menu several times a week with different cuts, from filets to new yorks. Nice and comfortable in the restaurant, with several banquet rooms. Plus a nice roomy bar with 3 televisions. Great service...great bargain! Pros: friendly, quiet neighborhood more
