Andy has worked on several of my japanese vehicles. Never had a problem - he calls with the estimate before proceeding and he gets it done when he says he will. That's all you can really ask from a mechanic. Highly recommend. more

We love our neighborhood mechanic, Andy. He has talked us out of several repairs and has given us many things at cost. He has very high standards. He will fix it very quickly, e.g. while you wait, if he can. We have developed a relationship with him and really trust his honest opinion. He looks out for preventitive care as well. Andy's on Aurora is a terrific auto repair shop. He specializes in European and Japanese cars. But he has also handled our old GM beater too. (Seems to do lots of Subaru's, but could just be the neighborhood). Andy himself is very friendly, scrupulously honest, and will tell you when you don't need repairs, or need some minor adjustment. Very good value and old fashioned honesty and integrity make this neighborhood shop special. more

Andy's Auto Repair was recommended by NPR's weekly "Car Talk" show. The shop specializes in Japanese vehicles, though they service European vehicles as well. Before Andy's I was quite pessimistic about auto repair shops. Recently I took a Subaru Outback to have a tune up there (the car's first in several years) and was thoroughly impressed by Andy's honesty regarding what I should and should not have serviced. Not once did Andy ever pressure me to have something extra replaced or repaired. A tune up cost me less than $400 and his team even meticulously cleaned every door lock of the rust that accumulated from the car's previous life in Boston. They did not charge me anything for this service. Originally, the Subaru dealer told me I would have to replace ALL the locks. Andy's accepts checks or credit cards and can arrange for you to pick up the car after hours. more
