I first went here on a recommendation from a friend. Boy am I glad I tried it because I never knew that Turkish food could be so good. This gem of a restaurant is tucked away in C...

Better at their old location 1/8/2009

This place was better when it was located on Cedar near the Warrensville Center. It is now on Lee near the intersection of Cedar and Lee, so Citysearch's address is wrong. First off, the ambiance is not as nice, as the old place reminded me of Turkey, having been there about a year ago. It was very cozy and had lots of nice Turkish decor. The new place reminds me of some sort of modern chain. It is way too open and not intimate at all like the old location. It seems more sterile. The food also seemed better before they moved but maybe the surroundings have hurt my enjoyment. Their Calamari with garlic sauce is probably the best thing on the menu. The curry dishes and kabob dishes are fine but a little overpriced for what you get. The owner is very friendly and we had a conversation about restaurants in Istanbul. This is not on the top of my list because if I want Indian I will go down to S Taylor and eat at Cafe Tandoor. I would recommend Anatolia if you are up for something different, just don't go in expecting a 5 star restaurant and it will be fine. Pros: Some good dishes, nice staff Cons: Not as nice as their old location, a bit overpriced more

Avoid if possible! 9/18/2008

No bargains here...really expensive for what you get. The portions are different sizes every time you go, and the quality goes downhill with every visit. However, our server, Ufuk, was very pleasant which was the one redeaming quality of an otherwise wasteful experience. Pros: Not much...although we had a nice server Cons: High Prices, Inconsistent Quality and Inexperienced Hostess and Management Staff more

Cooks look very dirty, restaurant dirty, servers look like 'perps,' barely speak english 7/30/2007

Was not impressed at all, the menu looked good but poor delivery can ruin the experience. I saw the cook come out of the bathrooms without even washing his hands, his coat had old and new stains all over it and looked like it had never been washed, poorly shaven and smelled funny. Pros: Nothing really Cons: service, management, cleanliness, prices more

I saw the cook come out of the bathrooms without even washing his hands, his coat had old and new stains all over it and looked like it had never been washed, poorly shaven and smelled funny. Server was very rude, tried to overcharge for several items, would ask a question and would answer very rudely and i could barely understand him. will NOT return. Much better middle eastern food elsewhere Pros: Nothing really Cons: service, management, cleanliness, prices more

very good 11/18/2005

I'm not an adventurous eater, but I was able to find some great food at this place! I've been there for lunch and dinner, I wish they would sell their sandwiches at dinner because the dinner portions are huge (and can get pricey). They will sell sandwiches as take out in the evening, but not in the dining room...so, this has kept me away on the occasional evening when I don't have a big appetite. Otherwise, everything else was good, I hope they do well. Pros: quality food, decent parking more
