Whether you are looking for a record album, a cd or a tape, you will find it at Amoeba Music. An 80's hair band, a rap artist or Britney Spears, Amoeba music has it all.Be prepared to spend plenty of time to browse, becuase there is a LOT of music there! The staff is helpful, but you feel as if you have discovered treasure when you find that 80's pop band all by yourself! more

Traditional Music Place 6/25/2005

This store is part of Berkeley History and has been around forever. It offers a large mix of music genres crowded into a small space. You can find alot of 2nd hand stuff and also many independent bands and artists. If you want an alternative experience to those big music store chains that look identical from town to the next all over the US then its worth a visit. You can even listen to tunes at one of several listening stations and they dont mind putting a record or to on for you to decide on before you pruchase. more
