The CAMPER HAD DOG HAIR EVERYWHERE, it was very obvious there was an animal inside of pop up. Seriously, I have never seen a camper with more pet hair!! We have customers acknowledge.. our no pets are allowed in campers policy, with up to $100 charge. To deter people from bringing their dog. We maybe have 5 people a year that get charged for pet hair. (The most we ever charged someone for dog hair was $25). This was the only camper that would definitely deserve a $100 charge, but we were only charging them $50. We called and told them about all the dog hair. They denied it. So, we asked them to come look at it. They said they didn't want to look at it.......The only thing we can get from that is, that THEY KNEW THEY HAD A DOG IN CAMPER AND DIDN'T WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR THE DOG HAIR. We talked to the husband again, before we charged them.....he said maybe the kids let a dog in (his way of admitting there was a dog inside, but didn't want to admit it)..... and he was ok with the charge. Then, his wife called threatening us, saying if we charged them anything, that they would they would bad mouth us and put bad reviews like this one. So, instead giving them a break on the charge, we ended up charging them full price and told them exactly why and what the charge would be. So maybe these people have a bad memory or what. I don't know what to say. \r
Out of 15 camper rentals the week that these 3 friends rented campers. Only these 3 friends either broke something (table), had dog hair everywhere, etc. I don't know if they just had an out of control party or what. BUT ALL WE KNOW, all 3 of these friends obiviously don't take care of other peoples things, and when then break or trash something........they lie and deny, because they don't want to be charged. THEY LIED TO THE BBB.....EVEN, AND THE COMPLAINT WAS DISMISSED, BECAUSE OF IT. \r
We go far and beyond being fair, when it comes to any additional charges. Not many rental places even call you before they charge you. Let alone, ask you to come look at it, if you want. \r
99% of our customers bring back campers in great condition and aren't charged any additional fees. We wouldn't be in business for over 15 years, if we didn't have a lot of satisfied customers and ALL, but a couple of our customers couldn't be happier. We just were unlucky getting customers like this. We weren't the one's in the wrong. We just charged them what they did, that's all.
