This store features many traditional Native American / American Indian crafts and objects. It is right in the heart of City Market in Raleigh. The selection varies widely and prices vary too. And the best part is a live eagle that watches over the store from a perch in the back. She sits very still most of the time and most people think you are joking when you go up to talk to her. She is, I believe, an eagle about 25 years old from the Russian steppe and was injured. She now just sits and watches the customers in her rescuer’s store. Really, she’s the hit of the whole place and she can attract quite a crowd. A great time to go is during First Friday, held the first Friday of every month where all the shops and galleries in City Market are open til 9pm. Parking can be difficult as it is all on-street with 1-2 hour limits during the day so be prepared to spend some time looking.
