Amazing Glaze is a fabulous little shop in Mount Washington where you can settle down for the afternoon and paint your own pottery. They carry a variety of blank pieces, as well as a large assortment of ceramic paints. You paint your piece, leave it to be glazed, and come back in a week to pick it up. You may think this idea is more for children, but I've always had a great time with just the grown-ups. It's a great way to spend an afternoon with the ladies, or even with a date--they also have frequent specials you can take advantage of, such as buy-one-get-one studio fees, and such.
