My husband and I tried Amarena for a date and were sorely disappointed. When we arrived, the bar had a fun vibe and free nibbles set out but we were accosted and asked what we wanted. We said we had a reservation and we were promptly scooted out of the bar to a table. Nothing was prompt after that. We were consistently the last table in this very small restaurant to get water, wine menu, bread, dishes etc. The food was totally mixed. My seafood ravioli was almost inedible. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked and sauce was completely gritty. And this was a special of the day. The stuffed calamari was delicious but everything else was just mediocre. I'd say give this place a pass. There are too many other great places to eat.
