AWFUL WHAT? 2/15/2012

In response to AWFUL I apologize upfront for whatever has happened to you. It would be nice to hear in person what all the issues are. As I checked with all my employees and doctors, they cannot recall a client who was so upset over a medical issue. If this is a financial issue tell us what we can improve upon. Our financial policy is for payment of rendered services at the time of treatment. We accept all major credit cards, we have a 3rd party payment options (OAC). As I have talked with other veterinary clinics they offer the same forms of payments. These policy have been in place for over 10 years plus. The hospital employees, doctors, insurance, taxes, medical drugs and supplies are not voluntary. In order to take care of our obligations we have to charge a fair fee for our rendered services. We work very hard to accomodate each clients animal needs. more

AWFUL! 12/2/2011

The worst experience ever! Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. They are not in the business to take care of your pet...they are just looking at the $$$ signs! It's unfortunate b/c of the location, but after the ordeal I've been going through, I'd drive to another state before going to them again. Ever since the old doc retired, the daughter who's the office manager and condescending witch, the place has gone down hill from what I've heard and now have experienced! Save yourself the grief and save your pet! more

dog vs horse 3/17/2011

I have been goingg to this hospital for about 10 years now and a couple of years ago my dog was kicked in the head by a horse, leaving a hole, and having a concussion. The Dr stayed after hours to help my dog seek some relief. I'll never go anywhere else more

Great Care and customer service 8/13/2010

I had been to another clinic where my little dog was treated with a medication. That night she had a reaction that I thought she wouldn't make it. I called Alta Veterinary Hospital for help and they went out of their way to call the manufacture technical service to follow up with my dogs reaction. After seeing them I am very pleased with the care and customer service they gave me and my little pet. more

The worst 1/31/2009

When I fist moved to this area I took my cat to Alta Hospital. My cat ended up having cancer and needed to be put down. The old doctor there was uncaring and unsympathetic. He was more concerned about a phone call he received about a deer somewhere. He couldn't find a good vein in my cat to put her down and kept shaving and sticking and shaving and sticking. The entire torturous event took over an hour. I still have nightmares of what I did to my poor Maggie that day. The hospital also has a very strong cat urine odor. \r \r I send a warning out to all loving pet owners to never take your animals to this hospital!! Cons: Lack of caring and sympathy , strong odors, poor parking, more
