WORST SALON EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE 4/28/2012

Crystal was supposed to give me lowlights and lighten my roots. Instead, she turned my hair green and bright yellow. Seriously. Then, when I got upset (fittingly, I might add) she threatened to call the cops if I didn't leave. There was no manager there. There was no senior stylist who could figure out how to fix it. This is, by far, the worst salon experience of my life. I've been getting my hair done for 20 years. I'm a Navy wife and have lived all over. Allure salon is the worst salon I have ever been to. Ever. more

Bad Customer Service 6/29/2011

Never argue with the customer! Rule number 1 in business. Bought a Groupon for my wife and it said for a cut and color - $60. We do not live in Alexandria but thought it might be worth it to try it out. When we get there the receptionist and the stylist start to argue with me about the term "single color" and what that means. The receptionist brings up the site and says "see...it says it in the fine print...single color." Oh, the fine print! Well then, I hope they can read this FINE print - learn how to treat your customers and you might have more of them. more

I am a returning client of Yorka and I have been very pleased with her professionalism. I like her hair coloring skill and cutting works very well for my hair, which is thick and wavy. more

Bad hair month 3/4/2010

Bad experience. I won't be going back. The shampoo girl seemed put out by having to do my shampoo and then Yorka cut my hair and it is so uneven. I'm afraid when I get it fixed there my be nothing left to work with. more

A little off the top... 8/19/2005

This hair salon is so good that the owner had to open up another store to service the extra customers that couldn't get appointments at this place. The stylist are first rate and can accommodate anybody's hair style. Their perms and highlighting are superb and they can transform anybody's hair from shabby to chic. more

never a bad hair day 6/21/2005

I have been getting my hair done at Allure for the past few years. I followed my stylist over there from another salon she was previously working at. I have been pleased with the entire staff at the salon, and I have had other stylists cut my hair with the same great results. In the past few years since I have been going there, I have never had a hair cut I didn't like. The prices are not below average, but the service and professionalism is well worth it. more
