Editorial review from Citysearch 10/22/2013

This place is an unorganized, poor (in all contexts), smoke and mirrors BUSINESS! It is not intended to educate, but to swindle you of over 20grand for a 20 dollar education. You can ask any student attending, or go to a past student and they will tell you ""Waste of time and MONEY!"" Check out some other school, or buy books and train yourself... Hands-on is not legitimate if they're using equipment that's damaged, obsolete, and they have no intent on fixing or purchasing up-to-date equipment. They take your money, don't tell you how it's being used, and tell you you are screwed because you have 24 hours to decide if this is the place for you or not. DO NOT COME HERE! more

Allied Health Careers provides an excellent education 3/29/2011

My daughter attended Allied and had a great experience. She now works in the dental field as an orthodontic assistant. She has great hours, good pay, excellent benefits and most of all, she loves what she does. She could not have done it with AHC. We chose this school over others because it has been in business, in Austin and only in Austin, for so long. The program is longer than some of the 'drive thru' training programs in town, but I believe you get what you pay for. We did. She's 23 now and doesn't rely on anyone else to take care of her finances and needs. I don't think any school or any company is perfect, but students get what the come to this school for. Several of her friends went to the school in both the medical and dental programs after she did and they're doing well, too. more

Revolving door in Admissions 3/8/2011

I checked into a recent job opening and found an ongoing training class for new Admissions Representatives at this and the other Timberline 1 owned Schools. I've been told by previous employees that it is a pretty miserable place to work and no one stays for more than a few months before leaving. Thought I'd pass it on in case someone is considering working there... more
