An okay gym 9/14/2005

I joined this gym because it is so close to my office. However, other than the location it doesn't have a lot going for it. The space is very small, so the equipment is really crammed in tightly. There is always a line to use the most popular pieces - treadmill, etc. The locker room is dingy at best. The worst part about this gym is that, as your membership gets close to the expiration date, you will get phone calls on a daily basis encouraging you to renew. I got calls at home, at work - it was a little much. All in all, if you work close by, it gets the job done. Otherwise, I can't recommend it. more

Everything but the location is great 8/19/2005

I went to the Key Tower location. Wonderful views, nice new equipment, a very nice pool, a helpful and friendly staff, nice locker rooms, good free weights, tons of cardio equip, a free towel service, free parking. That said, it's just a tough place to get to unless you live in or near downtown. I live in Ballard and the location was just too inconvenient. I appreciated the gym, but having somethign close is key in the motivation of getting there. Good gym though, overall quite a bargain. more

Downtown Gym 8/16/2005

allstar fitness has some great benefits, the have recently updated the equipment the views are spectacular and there is a huge pool inthe gym (on the 14th floor), the parking is free/validated after 4pm and the towels are provided and free to use without charge, you don't even need to bring you own padlock fo rthe lockers. drawbacks are the at the Men/s locker room could use a update to match the rest of the gym , not sure if this is in the works or not. more
