When considering this gym, keep in mind there is a roller hockey rink, an ice hockey rink and a bar in the same building all owned by one person, although the gym is owned by the same person with a few others.
I was really excited about the classes the gym was offering and a new room was being built just for aerobics, Zumba and other types of classes. I attended these classes, 3 days a week, every week and it proved to be very beneficial. After about 6 months, we were moved to a room behind a bar, that was much smaller and the floor is hard and very slippery. We were moved because the ?Hockey People? wanted the aerobics room and because they bring in ?more money?, we were pushed out. After that, several members quit attending due to the hard floor causing knee and other joint problems. When using a step while doing aerobics, the steps ?travel? because of the slick floor. This is very dangerous. This was brought to the attention of the management, but nothing has ever been done. Additionally, classes will be canceled if the owner wants/needs the room for additional purposes.
The gym equipment is good, although, they are one of the few gyms not open 24 hours, nor do they have day care.
They do have TV?s, but no sound or you have to read the closed captioning. Their upstairs cardio does not have good lighting, so reading is difficult and the TV?s upstairs either do not work or they are never turned on.
They have a couple of trainers, one in particular is very good, but seems to lack professionalism when interacting with members.
