Alexan Broadway Station

This is a TERRIBLE place to live because of the current status of the complex. They built this huge complex and probably onyl about half of it is currently occupied. As a result, they will do whatever is necessary to get as much money out of you as possible. I have lived here for about a year, and I truly regret it. The other review on this site is funny, because she does not realize how bad it was that she rented her apartment for less than what they call "market value". The Alexan convinces you that you're getting a 1400 or 1500 dollar apartment for 1000 or so, but it is really a legal lease trick to lock you in for life. If you try to negotiate breaking your lease early, they inform you that you must pay back the difference in the "market rent" and what you actually paid, making it 4 or 5 thousand dollars to leave even a month early. Another example: A couple of months ago, the parking garage was an open parking area, and your friends and guests could park and walk into your apartment. Unexpectedly, the Alexan informed us that they were putting numbers on all the spots and there would be a lottery for the spaces. If you wanted a space, it would be about 50 dollars a month extra. Surprises like this from a failing apartment business are why you should definitely look somewhere else. You will pay through the teeth for this place and hate it after a couple of months, even though it looks nice when you tour it. For you money, you can get an amazing place in Denver that isn't looking to screw you at every turn. more

Dog crap and urine everywhere. No parking. Very few entrances, so a lot of walking to get home. more

I have lived here for about 2 months and can't wait to leave. The model we toured was very quiet but our apartment is so very very loud The outside doors slams loudly. The tenants that live here are loud and trashy. It's dirty all time, cigarette butts in the elevators, dog poop in the hallway, people throw things over their balcony. We reported our lights needed to be replaced and nobody has still come to replace them after a week. Why pay this much (almost $1k a month) to live in a tiny, trashy, loud place! Ugg! Don't live here! more

This is a freaking frat house 24/7/365. DO NOT rent here unless you want to deal with dog feces and urine pretty much EVERYWHERE (and I HAVE dogs here), loud, obnoxious yuppies, no parking for guests (unless you want to get towed and ticketed) and a staff who could care less about all this. I'm really really beyond disappointed in this place. We pay WAY too much for this dump. more

The apartments are nice but the staff is terrible. They don't let you know when you have packages. I've had packages sit in there office for weeks without even a phone call to let me know about them. Also, when we moved in, we were told we could have a grill on our deck. After a year of living here, we got a notice that says we must have it off our deck by 5:00 or we will be fined. There wasn't even a a heads up that we can't have a grill. more
