Best Hair Cut of my Life! 12/15/2006

I have really curly hair, and lots of it! My whole life has been a long standing battle between me and my hair. After my haircut at Mialia my hair felt light and the layers were perfect for someone with curly hair, giving it shape instead of volume (which i dont need any more of!). In short, I highly recommend Mialia, the stylists were very nice, patient and knowledgeable, more than you can say for most places in New York! more

Color you dream of! 9/13/2006

I spent weeks researching hair colorists in New York and decided to come to Maria. It was the best choice ever. I have dark brown hair and she was able to lighten it to the honey brown that I wanted with golden highlights that blended naturally...no streaks here! I can't tell you how pleased you will be. Unfortunately I am living on a flight attendant salary and can't treat myself that often, but this is definitely a treat when you need to splurge on yourself! Pros: hollywood color Cons: slightly pricey, but worth it more

Best colorist and haircutter ever! 9/1/2006

Maria did my hair in July of 2006. I have never been so happy in my life. She is the best haircolorist ever. I truly recommend her-- she is an artist!!! Melissa also cut my hair that day and I am so pleased with her haircut. Here it is two months later and I am still getting compliments about my hair color and cut. I also took their advice on what hair products to use because my hair was damaged from constant washing, drying, and straightening. They surely know their field! Pros: Awesome more

20% off.... yeah right!! 7/31/2006

After seeing rave reviews for the place AND the 20% for new customers.... I was sold! I made an appointment on a Saturday and actually got in right away. The Salon is small, clean and very quiet... almost desserted. We talked about the haircut, she did it, it was fine. All is good up to this next part. Pros: Availability Cons: Price! OUCH! more

Melissa is a true artist... 7/31/2006

I have had my hair every color under the sun. When I went to MiaLia and had Melissa color my hair, I have seen nothing like it! She painted my head as if it was a canvas. I loved it and got more compliments than EVER!!! I love the atmosphere and how friendly all the staff are!! Thank goodness for MiaLia! Pros: great atmosphere more

Great Salon 6/22/2006

Mialia Salon is great and Maria is amazing! I have been to a million of places in NYC to get my hair done and no would could get it right. My friend finally referred me to Maria. She's the only one that has done my hair right...she is a genius and totally knows what does and does not look good on you. Not only is she a great colorist, but her personality is amazing. Maria is a prodigy with Hair Color! Fantastic! 6/1/2006

This was my first time at MiaLia. (I usually wait to go back home to L.A.). Anyway I walked in and Maria greeted me has if she owned the place. Warm, friendly, very welcoming. Boy Oh Boy does she know what she's doing. (If I could, I would hire her to be my personal colorist). When I came in she was finishing up with another client so I kinda listened in on Maria as she was explaining the process of color and color treatments with her client. Fantastic. I've never had that level of attention to detail in all my 30+ years of going to higher-end salons! Bravo. When it was my turn to get me hair treated. Her natural ability to give so much attention to her craft truly is refreshing. It's great to see people with passion for their work! An A++ experience. Johanna Melingsworth. more

Raoul gave me the best cut 3/7/2006

I am short for words, but I went to Mialia and loved the salon, very pleasant. sat at Raoul's chair and I had a nice experience with the way he listened and the way he did my hair, no attitute at all , and very skill with the sissors. I didnt not had any color done but he recomended Linda for the highlights. And I made an appoinment. I do trust him with my hair. Thank you! more

had my cut with Raoul at Mialia and i was very please, firts with the service and the friendly place, then i sat at raoul's chair and I was nervous at firts, but Raoul listen to every word i had to say and the result was better than what i was expecting. more

Kobe is a genius 2/27/2006

I have been seeing Kobe for my past dozen hair cuts and I receive numerous compliments after every cut. He is a revolutionary hair stylist. What he has done for my hair as well as many of my friends has been sheer art. I recommend him highly an I will not see anyone else as long as he is styling. He is a hair GENIUS! more

Linda is the most amazing colorist! 2/27/2006

Linda is the most amazing hair colorist! I had highlights done that are the most natural and striking at the same time. I get compliments on my hair by everyone. She was able to attain the mulit dimension color that you see in a child's hair that somehow gets lost as we age, I will never allow anyone else to ever do my hair, Linda is a truly talented professional. more

I've been a loyal customer to Koby since I can remember. I'm very particular about my hair so after I found him, I can only go to him. The best part of every haircut I get with him is that it grows out sooooooo nicely! Love him. Koby's definitely the best in my book. more

i had my head color at a Mialia salon by a woman name Linda she was the ultimate professional i previously had my hear color else ware which result in big brassy streaks not ""flattering"" Linda turned me into a beautiful soft warm brown with golden highlights ,i get nothing but compliment every were i go i fill grate my ear is soft and shine ,i never go any where else, Linda was kind easy to work with and wery inspiring more

Koby has been cutting my hair since Ted Gibson and has been impressing me with his talent ever since. His cuts are creative, fun and unique. He absolutely loves cutting hair and it shows in his work! With Koby's cut, my hair takes little time -making it easy, effortless and most importantly SEXY. They also grow out so well making inbetween cuts barable. I have gotten so many compliments and trust him with my hair to the point that I let him cut it however he wants! best color and best cut 2/2/2006

I went to Mialia salon by reading good things about the salon here on citysearch. Loved the place great service and great atmosphere. I had my color with Maria and she blow me away with her highlights, not only that she listened carefully about my issue with getting a golden blond highlights. The I had a Cut with Raoul. This guy made me feel femenine and his tecnique is really interesting, he gave me a modern cut but at the same time there a classic femenine touch to it, plus his energy is pure goodness. i also asked him where he work before and i found out he worked in Madison Avenue, so if you want a good cut without paying too much , come a see Raoul for cut and Maria for color.MY Hair looks great and I feel 1,000.000.00 bucks. more
