Dreadful experience at their Sunday brunch 9/1/2011

If you like being herded around like hungry cattle, being completely stressed out when you eat, and tacky decor, go to Adelphia for their Sunday brunch. The restaurant was huge, and we could barely get through anywhere. Everyone is standing around like idiots at the brunch buffet saying 'where do we go'? 'Where do we get the plates?' Where does the line start?' The truth is I STILL don't know the answers to these questions because Adelphia gives no direction whatsoever. No signs differentiating where the lunch bar and the breakfast bar is, no indication where to stand-no nothing. I felt like it was some kind of evil human experimentation science project. Don't get me started on the people there who were going to a baby shower and trying to carry a baby stroller wrapped up through the heaving mass of people. After our brunch experience, I was physically exhausted. It peeves me to think about the $15.95 Adelphia was making per head from the hundreds of people in there that had to fight the crowds for each mediocre bite of food. SHAME on you, Adelphia. more

I would definitely have a wedding or retirement party here. The atmosphere is pleasant, they do very versatile parties , and on a Friday night you will have a great time. The food is spectacular and the waitresses go out of their way for you! A++++++ more

Low prices for the amount of food 10/21/2010

When I opened the menu, i was immediately shocked by the low prices for the amount of food they gave you. We could barely finish our meals, and even had enough left over for another meal. more

Very cute 10/15/2010

My Husband and I were treated to a lunch here by friends. The place itself is large, very cute, with interesting color changing lights above the tables. The outside is clean, with Greek columns and flowers everywhere. more

Relaxing atmosphere 9/22/2010

My friends & I get together about once a month & have not tried Adelphia's until this past Saturday. We actually had reservations in Philadelphia's Old City & changed our mind last minute. So we walked in at 9:30 (10 of us) without reservations. I couldn't believe how attentive the hostess and manager were. They had us seated within a matter of minutes and the waiter and manager were at our beck and call even though the place was crowded. My sister didn't like her order (steak), she thought it was overcooked and the manager noticed even before our group did, she swept it away and brought a menu for her to order something else, she had her new dish (crab cakes) in no time and our evening went perfect. Afterwards we went into the nightclub and danced the night away and had an unforgetable night. We'll be back very soon and I wll be asking for our waiter (Joe), and hope to see the manager (blonde woman) to thank her for her hospitality. If you get the chance you must go to eat at Adelphia's great food, and a relaxing atmosphere, not to mention the short walk across the room for dancing. more

Always great food and a great time!! 9/3/2010

I have to say I have been going to Adelphia for a long time and have never been disappointed!! Always great food and a great time!! This past time wasn't any different. I had the shrimp and scallop pomodoro and my girlfriend had the veal marsala.. Both came out in a timely fashion and both were delicious. The portions were huge as well! We also sampled several different drinks from their extensive and exclusive drink menu. Tasty not to mention easy on the wallets!! Our waiter Kieran was a cutie and gave us perfect service. The place was hopping and people all over were having a great time. Like I said I have been going to Adelphia for a very long time, the management and owners have always made it a point to not only take great care of their customers, but also give back to us in so many ways. They have worked their butts off to build such an amazing establishment annd I hope they continue to bring us such excitement to Deptford NJ. I always recommend Adelphias to all my friends and family for a fun night out or any special occasion (the offer very nice party packages too!!). more

GREAT PLACE!! 8/31/2010

I live in the city (Phila) and rarely go to NJ for dinner. After shopping at the Deptford Mall I was hungry & decided to go to Adelphia's; what a beautiful place as well as spotless. We were seated and ordered off the daily special menu, the food was fresh, hot and delicious not to mention abundant!! I ate the soup & salad that came with the meal and was so full I wound up taking most of my entree home (it was just as good re-heated the next day)!I've been back several times since my first visit & have been just as pleased....GREAT PLACE!! The servers are all nice but espcially Vasili who I ask for every Saturday that I go to Adelphia's. more

Everytime was a great time 8/16/2010

I had 2 affairs at the Adelphia and went a few times for dinner & lunch. Everytime was a great time. Good food, drinks and service. My friends and I went there recently for lunch and was able to get a table away from the lunch crowd and stayed for hours chatting. The waitress even gave us free cake with our coffee. We will be going back for the happy hour. Prices are good for the amount of food. more

Well worth trying 7/23/2010

We have gone to Adelphia well over a hundred times over the last 5 years and would encourage everyone to try it. The food is tasty, priced right and served in large portions. On the rare occassion that something is not quite right, they quickly "fix" it. You cannot beat their lunch specials. The recent 2/$20 dinners are full portion dinners and quite a value for the price. Friday Happy Hours which we frequent at least once a month offer a nice selection of free food and great 1/2 price appetizers. Weekday Happy Hours, though smaller in scale than Friday, still offer the appetizer deal and generally, their very tasty pizza along with a pasta dish or two for no charge. That the Happy Hour buffet is free is nice. But, it is pretty tasty too. While you may get an occasional bartender during Happy Hour that is more efficient than friendly, that is the exception, not the rule. And finally, their Sunday Brunches have a fantastic selection of foods with again, a can't beat price. more

Run with a lot of heart 7/12/2010

I had heard of Adelphia before but never got around to going there until a recent fundraising event that was held there. Boy was I surprised! First, the place is great looking. The fundraiser was very well attended, yet they kept the food and drinks coming. Their patio was particularly nice. The food was excellent, with several chicken dishes that were stuffed or grilled. Their pork chops are particularly good. They charged the very minimum so this family could raise money for their very ill little girl. I would not hesitate to hold an event there, with pride. This is one place that isn't run like any other business -it is run with a lot of heart. more

One of the best places 7/7/2010

This is one of the best places to go in South Jersey without question and anyone who says differently probably wasn't there to party. They recently added a light up disco dance floor to the facility two months ago so the ambience is new and improved. I wouldn't recommend it for huge catering evenuts like it seems most of the below reviews were in reference to. It is a great place to go with a group of friends to drink and dance. Outside deck provides a nice break from the music if you just need to catch some air. more
