Acme Comedy Club

Well...let me start with I am not a rude individual...I don't inappropriately talk during comedy shows because it is rude. I also do not let my friends for the same reason. With that being said, heres our story. Last night, I would agree with the other review on here...the headliner was not as funny as the other two acts. That baffled me because I've never been to a show that I didn't find extremely funny. As the first act was leaving the stage, and the second act was coming on stage, I commented to my friend about something that was said on stage. Took a whole 2-3 seconds to say, and I leaned over to whisper it in her ear. I was yelled at by staff. My friend and I said something to each other out of confusion, and a second staff member yelled at us. It ruined our mood for the night. Then, my friend said one more thing later, n he kicked us out. I have NEVER seen anything like this at any other comedy club. We talked to management, and we couldn't reason with him. You could tell he really didn't see our side one bit. He told us he had talked to others all night long, n that we were taking him away from doing that. Now, as I was sitting there trying to enjoy the show, I could here absolutely NO ONE but the comedian. So, if you want a comedy club that you can laugh and comment to your friend about something that is being said on the stage, please go to another comedy club. I am NEVER going back there, and will be telling everyone. I am not a rude person, and to be treated so terribly was absolutely shocking. more

what a laugh ! a nice club to have a small group or large group . priced great with discount ticket around town . the wait staff are friendly and give good service . they always have good acts that change often . easy to get to , parking not always so good , in a great area if you want to grab a bit to eat before or after , more

This is a fun place to go with a group of friends. It is a lot of fun the have different acts there all the time. I'm not sure how expensive it is because when we went awhile back we had gotten free tickets from my work. They serve you drinks at your tables. Great night out. more

Acme Comedy club is a good place for a few hours of laughes. The setting is like a club, with dark lights and small tables. Wait staff comes around and takes drink orders in the beginning of the show and brings your drinks out to you and collects the money. So you never have to leave your seat. They offer a variety of acts. Some are local, others come from different places. When I went there, they were having a contest. The comedians were pretty funny and each little act lasted about 5-10 minutes. They also usually have a headliner, who is usually someone well know. more
