Bike came home with missing part. 5/9/2012

Left my totaled bike for an insurance estimate. They never read/responded to email sent prior to scheduled appointment. Didn't do work at scheduled appointment time due to a question they never bothered to call me about. Never called to tell me if the job was or wasn't done so job wasn't done when I arrived for pickup. After brief discussion outlining the conflicting info I was given from staff members resulting in the job not being done the job was done quickly while I waited. When I arrived home I realized a part from the bike was removed. I called to ask about it and never received follow up. Why??? Quite The Fail. more

Great shop 3/27/2006

This shop has a real friendly and knowledgable staff and a nice selection of bikes and bike accessories. They're not as huge as their sister store up in Belmont, but if it's too hard to get up to Belmont, this place is fine. For local bike shops, the most important thing is probably the staff, and everytime I've gone here, they've been helpful and know what they're doing. more

Even Three Speeds 3/17/2006

Ace Wheelworks has all the latest bikes, but they'll still take good care of your 1960's touring bike. There is one guy there who specifically knows the old bikes and sometimes they've held my jobs for him. They won't mess around unless they know what they're doing. I like Ace because they don't talk down to you and they'll do little jobs, like fixing a kickstand or adjusting a chain, for free. I've learned a lot going there as the employees explain what they're doing to my bike. If your three-speed needs a serious overhaul, you might want to spring for Ferris Wheels down in JP, but I have faith in Ace on this side of the river. more

Wheelarama 8/15/2005

A bicycle can be a great tool, and Wheelworks is a great place to pick one up. They offer very competitive prices and have great semi annual sales which really bring in crowds. The repair department is impressive too, and they really do the job right the first time. When trying out a bike, be sure to give it a test ride around the neighborhood. Wheelworks is located minutes from the Porter Square T Stop on the Red Line. more
