I hired Acacia Property Management to manage my rental property. During the two years that I paid them to manage my property I have had two tenants break their lease and leave me with unpaid water bills, two expensive storage racks and lawn mower disappear and they cannot tell me which renter took them, and my washer and dryer stolen .
I asked Allen often if he had enter the home to make sure it was in good condition and he always told me it was.
My first tenant left early breaking the lease and leaving a real mess in the house, mattresses, clothes and lots of dirt plus a past due water bill. It took three months to re-rent the house. I trusted Acacia to make sure my property was clean and in move in condition.
When my second tenant left I placed an ad and talked to many potential renters about the house and requested they call Allen to set up an appointment to view the property. One person I talked with who also looked at the property later called me back and alerted me of the condition of the house. I knew after 30 people who looked at the house and I still did not have one application that something was wrong with the house, so I flew up to see for myself.
When I walked into the house I was so shocked, the carpets were not cleaned and smelled awful, the walls needed painting, the washer and dryer had been stolen and the floor under it ripped up and covered with dog hair, the dryer vent that I asked Allen to have cleaned was just pushed to the ground and lint was everywhere under the house, the back yard was not mowed and the grass was over 12 inches long. If Allen had communicated to me about the condition of the house I would have flown up sooner and started the painting and kitchen upgrade one month earlier so that I would not be out another month's rent.
I called Allen and told him how upset and disappointed I was in the condition of my property and could not believe that he was showing the house in this condition. He did not take this well and terminated our agreement. Then in the closin
