About You Salon & Day Spa

I was the Bridesmaid for my cousins wedding in Gatlinburg. I walked in with my mother and they greeted us nicely and showed us to a salon chair. I requested roughly beautiful ringlets with jeweled hair ornaments. What my stylist did was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. After the wedding at the reception everyone was complimenting my beautiful hair. Absolutely an experience to remember! I would go back to the About You Salon & Day Spa anyday! Pardon me for saying this, but the first review is totally the opposite of what I think the salon was like. We brought along our two year old flower girl and they were nice to her and said she could sit anywhere she liked! But anyway, an amazing experience! I was hesitant going to a Salon that I've never been before but I seen the reviews that they were good so I thought I would try them out. They were very expensive and I was hoping that I would pay for what I was getting. When we arrived, my "Matron of Honor" told me that some lady said "Make sure that little girl doesn't touch anything" she was talking about the Flower girl which was my 5yr. If I would have heard this, I would have left and I think that was very rude of them.The place wasn't that spectacular and if my little girl wouldn't touch anything she wouldn't because she knows better. Once I got my hair done it wasn't like the picture I brought in because I was hoping for more volume on top and it looked like something I would have done. Then after she was done the lady told me it would cost me more because of the thickness of my hair. Which is crazy b/c my hair isn't thick and I paid everything before I arrived. Also, the make-up wasn't that great and again I could've have done the same thing. To top it off, the people seem like they were in Beverly Hills and come on they are in the mountains! Oh, my "Mator of Honor" want to bring in some Champagne and I was told they don't do this which is nuts because what would one Champagne toast hurt while getting our hair done on my wedding day? I wished I would've went somewhere else on my Special Day but I thought this place was good but its was AWEFUL! If anyone is getting married PLEASE look around because I hope no one goes through what I went threw! more
