Terrific Clinic 5/19/2014

I have been taking my rescue animals to Abbott for 2 years. I rescue animals from the street. Because I do not know the history of these animals, I need a vet who will take them in no questions asked and take care of them until I find a foster or adoptee.\r \r Who else can you run to seven days a week with a sick animal? Dr J is an amazing Vet, really cares for the animals and I can't praise him enough. more

great clinic!!! – I am going to this place for 6 years and I am fully confident about the services they provide. Last week I took my new puppy because she was coughing and had nasal discharge. When I went to see Dr.J they really took care of my baby. He recommended tests that I could not afford. He was very understanding of my finances and suggested that we try medicines and see how she does. Someone from the staff even called me a couple of days later to see how she was doing. She is doing much better now. I have every confidence in Dr. J and his staff. more

We took our cockatiel in and the Dr said it was good as dead!!! Take it home, we were told and it was expected to die overnight. We cared for it ourselves and wasted the 100.00 charge and 1 yr later my beautiful bird is still with us! Thank Dr for giving up on him and saying its ""so"" ill. more

Great clinic 5/29/2013

Dr. Javaid and his team are great. They provide such personalized service and really take the time to get to know your pet. My family has taken their pets to Abbott for many, many years and would not consider going to another vet. We have utilized their boarding services and are pleased as well. more

Never go here-horrible service-unprofessional staff-all about money-don't get the amount of service you pay for-very rude and insensitive- avoids answering questions about your animals care-didn't provide updates about my animal-charged me more with out my consent-double charged me-did not provide me with a at home treatment plan when picking my dog up after 2 days-not clean smells bad- while checking my dog in 2 dogs got into a fight under there supervision- didn't give proper shots I was told she would get and then refused to tell me what shots she had if any-also refused to give me the number to the Texas complaint board-By the way they hung up in my face- my own personal veiws they are all about the dollar not the animal so I wouldn't advise anyone to take there animal here more

HORRIBLE VET CLINIC. They are only about money. No care in the world other than financial profit. I had a very sick cat and after paying $85 ONLY for the doctor to check his ears and take his temperature, he comes back in the room to tell me he can't do anything for my cat unless I pay $1400!!!! When I tell him I don't have that kind of money, he responds, ""I don't know what to tell you"" and walks out of the room. Also, when I entered the clinic, his own staff seemed to disagree with the way he runs things when I commented on a puppy on the floor bleeding out of his nose bc he was hit by a car. The owner did not have $85 to pay so they just left the dog to bleed out. THIS CLINIC SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. THIS VET SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING!!! more

I am going to this place for 10 years and I am fully confident about the services they provide,last night I took my munchie (schnauzer)because she was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea all of a sudden and I thought she ate something,when I went to see Dr.J they really took care of my dear munchie like a super vet,today I RECEIVED A CALL from Abbott and they told me she is doing great and will ready to go home tonight,i am glad and thanks for Abbott team for saving my pet!!!!!God bless you all!!.This place is amazing and I can recommend you this place with 100% confidence. more

Great clinic! 2/8/2012

I have been taking my rescue animals to Abbott for 4 years. I rescue animals from the street, shelters, people who can no longer take care of there pets etc. Some times they are mangey, bald, flea infested, dirty etc but they always take my animals in with loving open arms. Because I do not know the history of these animals that I find they some times get sicker before they get better. With that being said the lady below, pmd12 isn't telling the whole truth. The dog she adopted she had for a week. What she didn't say was what the conditiong of the dog when he was found. She also made it clear that she declined blood work. If you don't care enough to spend $50 on that then how distrought are you really? Some times these animals have hidden or underlying illnesses that we just don't know about. So, I can say after 4 years of them taking care of my animals, I would go to noone other then them. Who else can you run to at 11pm at night or 7am with a sick animal? Dr J is an amazing Vet and I can't praise him enough. more

After reading the poor reviews, I expressed my concern to the adoption place and they assured me it was a wonderful place to take animals. WRONG! I dropped my little baby off this morning to be fixed-even though I had a bad feeling-and the office just called and said the "vet" wanted to talk to me. He got on the phone and said there had been an "accident." He said when he put my baby under, he just quit breathing and they could not bring him back. I asked if he had done blood work prior to putting my baby under and he said "No, you declined it." I "declined" the extra blood work the gal up front offered but thought surely they would do some sort of blood work prior to sedation to make sure my baby could tolerate it. This is irresponsible and totally unacceptable! I will NEVER take another animal of any sort to thi more

I would prefer to take my pet to them always,they saved my parakeet with great services,doctors are very good and friendly told me upfront the total cost and chances of survival,I appreciate honest and would recommend everyone to go this place.Thanks for great help and saving another life! more

Awful Service - Always Rude...all the way until the end! 9/6/2011

First off, I only gave this review 1-star only because it would not let me leave a review with NO STARS! We left this clinic due to the rude nature of the staff. After finding a new veterinary hospital we still continue to have difficulties with their staff. Our new vet called to get our vaccination records while we were at the new hospital. The receptionist at Abbott became angry on the phone (we could hear her on the phone) and hung up. This is just another one of the unprofessional situations that we have encountered. The new hospital then called them back and the receptionist told our new hospital that they were busy but they would get the records together and mail them. Moments later I received a call from Abbott to inform me that my new hospital was repeatedly calling and harassing the staff. Remind you, this all occurred with me at the new hospital so I witnessed the whole event. Just an example of why I left. Never again will I return to Abbott Animal Clinic nor will I recommend it to anyone! more

Always go and see this place! 8/4/2011

My freind kristen refer me to this place and I am very satisfied,awesome facility and doctor is very respectful and did't charge me too much actually did so many things that i was thinking should be charge for, he educated me on cummunicable diseases from pet to me and especially my children he told me something about round worms and hooks worms can cause problem in children Thanks doc I apprecaite your honesty and services to this community !!!!! more

Best affordable quality care ever!Awesome staff! 8/4/2011

I took my pit bull because of vomiting and diarrhea,staff did great economical care,parvo was negative but Dr did tell me that he can be become positive if we run test early in the course,my puppy after treatment is doing much better playing,I would recommend to go to this place for economical care and best services I had ever received at veterinary hospitals.Keep up the good work guys!Thanks for saving my puppy! more

Clean facility and nice, honest Doctor 4/22/2011

I brought my dog in for his yearly check up later in the evening. The receptionist, the young blonde girl was very accommodating and got me in to see the doctor very quickly. The Doctor also didn't keep me waiting long which was nice. He spoke to me as a caring, honest man who was concerned about my pets weight. He told me like it is with out all the nonsense. The visit itself took no longer than 20 minutes, I was in and out. If you're looking for later hours and a friendly doctor this is the right Vet for you. more
