Abbey Road Restaurant

Very unique place with a nice atmosphere, good food and service.On vacation with my family - also very kid friendly! Second time to Virginia Beach and second time to Abbey Road, definitely recommended! more

I've been going to Abbey Road for years and have always loved the food and atmosphere and all the Beatle stuff on the walls. Food has improved alot over the years and the lunch and dinner specials are great. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect for the oceanfront. They've got their own parking lot, too! more

I made reservations approx 2 weeks ago for a party of 20 to celebrate a special occassion on March 9, 2011. Everyone looked forward to dining at this restaurant because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to those reviews. We only had 1 server for all 21 people, she took food orders for all 21 people before placing our orders. None of us were served until all 21 orders were brought to the table. Several orders were incorrect and food was either cold, not seasoned or did not taste good. I asked the acting manager why there was not another server to assist with our group, and she explained they did not think necessary. She stated the reason it took so long for our group to be served was due to having more than 20 people in the group. We had 21. So I guess that one extra person disrupted the whole order taking, order making, fast service, getting your order correct process. The kicker...all but two ordered sandwiches/fries, and the appetizers arrived during or after main entree was served. I informed the manager I would never eat there again, and tell everyone I know to stay away from it too. more

The menu leads you to think they have a nice menu but, it is horrible!!!! I ordered crab cakes that were very over priced and were deep fried canned crab. My husband ordered a seafood pasta dish that was flavorless and watery. The restaurant is dirty and the menu is horrible!!! Catch 31 is a much better choice for the same $!! more

My husband and I came here with 4 other friends, on New Year's weekend. We both ordered the french onion soup, and it was mostly filled with croutons and the cheese on the top was hard and cold, it was probably sitting for 15 minutes before we received them. The bowl was small, more like a cup, and definetly wasn't worth the $6 each. I ordered the roast beef sandwich which was alright, but also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. My husband, however, enjoyed his burger. The friends I was with ordered crab cakes, and were also disappointed because it was mostly made of ""filler"" and not actual crab meat (which you would expect to get at the shore). My husband and I visited in July 2005 for dinner - this place won't serve sandwiches between 5 & 10. While we waited for a seat we were served promptly at the bar - nice strong drinks. Appetizers, traditional ""bar food mix,"" were good - plentiful serving. Then our steaks (filet) came out. Medium well? My husband's was black & mine was butterflied, overcooked - like cardboard. We cut the burned parts off of my husband's and shared. This place needs to focus less on the Beetles gimmick and more on their food ... or, better yet, accept that you're a bar and stick to bar food!! A plus? The service was good. The waitress took my whole dinner off the bill. more

Not an extremely busy spot, but they have one of the biggest beer selections in Virginia Beach. Complete their beer quest and get your name on a plaque above the bar. Cool live music, typically kinda folky music. Good starting point for a night out. Pros: Music, Beer Selection, Atmosphere more

My biggest issue with this restaurant was that they don't serve burgers between the hours of 5pm and 10pm. I would think that would be when they serve them due to being dinner time and the bar atmospere. The server was very ""blonde"" and made it known that she did not know what she was doing. The pasta and bread were stale and the steak we had ordered was very rare. Both tinmes they brought it back. I was very disappionted and they did take care of 25% of the bill. Never again.
