Jim Junke of Worthington Home Inspection was referred to me by my realtor. Described as thourough and detailed, I was expecting a true expert.
He did notice a good number of things that I wouldn't have, and perhaps an average inspector may not have. However, he missed several extremely key problems about the home. For example:
- Pulling out the refridgerator revealed extensive water damage.
- Extensive roofing damage. I was told by him the roof is in great shape and had 15 years of life. The condo association and a quick look myself told me that the roof needed repairs.
- A fan in one of the bathrooms did not function (I guess I should have noticed this, but apparently he never flipped the switch either!)
A few other things I noticed as time went by but don't necessarily think I should have expected him to notice, but those were the big ones.
I suggest finding someone else, if you are considering this guy.
